Been here multiple times, never had an issue until recently. Went in today with two other people with our two dogs perfectly fine. Two golden retrievers named Severus and Bubbles kept playing with our husky until they pinned her down multiple times, mainly the dog Severus. We asked the owner multiple times to pull and recall his dog every time but the dog never listen to his commands and his dog started humping our dog who was trying to fight back but is slightly blind and couldn’t fend herself. Asked the owner to leash his dog as we were tired of it and started an argument that this was a dog park and that the dogs were playing, they clearly weren’t as his dog Severus was trying to dominate our husky as she was yelping and clearly being attacked. Owner proceeds to get into one of the people’s face that I was with and threatening us. Not sure if I would want to go back if these are the people we are going to encounter every single time. PS. His dog bubbles was chasing our dog the entire time and did not recall his dog once it was out of sight. If people still want to go, be careful of these golden retrievers Bubbles...
Read moreSo this review isn't for the dog park itself. My one year old boxer loves playing in the big open area and enjoys being able to socialize with other dogs. We normally go in the early morning every day of the week except weekends. Unfortunately, today 9/4/2018 we went around 3:30PM. There was a guy in a brewers shirt with a brown either goldendoodle or poodle that was very aggressive towards my boxer. Within two minutes of entering the park, his dog bit my dog on the tail. My dog's tail is cropped. The owner didn't say anything to his dog, so I yelled hey and his dog ran away. At this point, my dog is scared and doesn't want to play/run like he normally does. So, I encouraged him to walk with me and his dog, again comes over and starts to growl at my dog. Again, the owner does nothing. I yelled, that is enough, at his dog. I took my boxer home, and when I got home I realize his tail was bleeding due to the bite marks the other dog had done. Owners who allow their aggressive dogs get away with their behavior are typically the issue we have with this park. We will no longer be using dog parks...
Read moreWe live in Oshkosh but regularly go to dog parks from Fond du Lac to Green Bay. This one is actually one of my least favorite in the area, for two major reasons. The biggest problem is that people don't pick up after their dogs at this park. There is always a ton of poo on the ground when we go here, and it's even worse during the winter months when it breaks down and is literally everywhere. The second problem comes down to the owners; some are absolutely wonderful but I've had more than one person tell me their dog doesn't like other dogs or have them stand by and do nothing while their dog bullies my Golden Retriever puppy. This seems to be more common if you go during the weekday mornings, and happens far less frequently during busy times such as the weekend. Both issues are a real shame because the park is large, has wooded areas as well as fields for the dogs to run in, and would be a wonderful place to take your dog without...
