Although the apple picking experience was wonderful. Our ending however ending in an older woman racially profiling my husband and father in law. The woman accused them of attemptingto steal a .50 cent honey stick. We had already spent $90 for apple picking. We ate hot dogs...and just wanted to end the day with extra goodies. They were the only 2 people there of color, and she chose to profile them and make accusations. When I asked her why she did..her answer was " well they looked like they were going to walk off with it" keep in mind when they picked it up...they never took a step away. This was our first and last visit. I am utterly disgusted by this woman's actions. The owners should know what kind of people they employ. Im sure this won't be the last time it happens. Please do better. Please know that racially profiling is not ok. Also the woman who completed this disgusting action should know one last thing. The elderly man she racially profiled, was on the ship that discovered the titanic. He deserves much more respect than what he was given at the...
Read moreSelection is extensive, prices are better than another farm located very close! This was my 1st time here & definitely won't be my last. I purchased corn on the cob & cucumbers both were delicious!!! There was a HUGE selection of freshly cut flowers. They had all kinds of tomatoes, plums, peaches, nectarines, zucchini, assorted berries & so much more!!! The parking lot is good size. Staff was polite, I really enjoyed going there & will definitely return. Now that fall has arrived apple picking has begun. They had posted signs that picking would be happening, I believe by appointment due to the covid virus. The orchard is huge so accommodating customers & staying safe should be accomplished. Definitely call in advance. They also sell a large assortment of baked goods, I haven't purchased but the items...
Read moreStopped at Young’s Family Farm while passing through for some tomatoes and lettuce and was struck by the freshness and quality of their produce. What stood out even more, though, was the kindness of the people working there, including the owners. They had samples of their delicious yellow Sun Sugar tomatoes, but the stand had sold out. I didn’t realize it at the time, but the woman at the register let the owner know. When I returned to my car, I found a pint of freshly picked yellow tomatoes waiting for me on the roof, along with a cheerful “Merry Christmas” from Mr. Young, who refused to let me pay for them. That small act of kindness and generosity made the visit unforgettable. I’m now a lifelong customer. Thank you, Mr....
