Cottonwood Creek Marina — Attraction in Little Elm

Simply the best marina on Lake Lewisville.

When looking for a slip, there were 3-4 things that I used to qualify my choice of marina.

First was the overall setup for the marina. While this marina has been around since 2003, it is very well laid out. It has fuel available, a ships store, nice restrooms and plenty of room. Second was maintenance. It is extremely well kept up, very clean and all of the amenities work. Whether is electric, the restrooms, water to wash your boat, the lift for your boat, etc... They offer good fuel. What do I mean by "good fuel"? They treat it basically the same as you would with stabil fuel stabilizer. Third was service. They offer electric plug-in service to charge your batteries and have been very helpful in marking maps, explaining and training you for all the things that you need to know. And they do it with a smile. Fourth was recommendations. They allowed me to walk back into the slips and talk with some of the other people renting slips. I got 100% positive recommendations.

Price-wise, they are competitive. I'd rec getting a lift to keep your boat out of the water. They rent the lifts, some others make you buy one.

Finally, they just won their 5th Texas Marina of the year award for 2019. That says a lot.

I was very impressed with the quality of service at the marina. I called about a week ahead to reserve my jet ski. The process was smooth and they were clear on prices before taking my card information. The location is great and really easy to get to. I got there about 30 minutes before my appointment to go through safety procedures. The lake is beautiful and the jet ski was in decent shape. I actually got lost but I was able to call the marina and Hunter helped me find my way back. I was really impressed that I was able to tell him were I was and he told me exactly where to go.
