Nice place to ride from the trail head going east. Restrooms and restaurants along the way. Peaceful place to ride and enjoy nature and a cold beverage. The first 20 miles are straight and flat. Then once you pass Onamia the offroad trails start. Red Top and Solana Loop are the best.

If you're on the paved section of the trail careful because there is a lot of ATV's even though it says no Motorized vehicles lots of rocks and gravel on the pavement

We found the bike trail very straight and boring with almost no shade. The trail was not well maintained and had cracks with weeds growing through as well as rocks. We were continually eating the dust from all the ATV's passing us on the dirt trail running parallel (when they weren't riding straight toward us on the bike trail). The directions from the Minnesota Bike Trails booklet said the trail ran from Kathio to Father Hennepin State Park. This may be true of the off road trails but was definitely not true for the bike trail. We suggest staying off of this bike trail and instead go biking on the trails in Crosby which are windy, shaded and much...

Being a biking user of this beautiful trail I was surprised to see that the Blanchard Dam part of the trail is now a Multi-use Bridge. This was intended to be a walking, hiking, strollering, skateboarding, rollerblading and cycling bridge! Not an ATV use bridge! Most of the Soo Line Trail is designated for multiple use! Sharing this bridge with motorized vehicles should not be allowed. As these side by sides and other ATV’s use this part of the trail it destroys the whole idea of a park like setting. When someone is injured on this bridge because of motorized use then maybe it will go back to No Motorized...

Bike rode onto the trail from Fr Hennepin State Park. Signs could be better marking this route coming from the trail to the park. We knew it was there because we came from the park. The trail starts out nice and smooth but the further you go past Wahkon, the worse the trail gets - lots of cracks, holes and bumpy ridges. There are a lot of rocks on the bike side that get kicked up from the ATV side and some are really large so it’s something to watch out for. Also found that a lot of ATVs are driving on the paved bike side of the trail so be aware of them coming from behind and in...
