We had a reservation and came a half and hr late, they told us we can have a bottle for 4 and we were like ok, and then the waitress suggested we could have two wine tastings between us four. Then when we decided yes let’s do the wine tasting the waitress said “oh we have a table inside for you. You can continue ordering inside”. So we walk in, no one is there but another group (who looks like they’ve already had a lot to drink, but whatever, that’s what we are there for to have a drink and to have some fun). But a waitress/waiter never shows up. I finally got up and “complained” that we’d been waiting too long. We saw the waitress talk to the manager who later came to tell us we had too much to drink and they could no longer serve us! We had ONE bottle of wine between 4 people! No one was stumbling, like he said, no one was making a scene, no one disrespected anyone but we were cut off! I have never been so judged in my life, so embarrassing to have to leave when we had a great group of friends who could tell us if we had too much too drink. There was a group who looked like they had too much to drink but we were cut off. I’m sorry we were not white and fit your so perfect profile of clients! I will NEVER RECOMMEND this place to any of my friends and I’ll NEVER...
Read moreNice setting and a good upcoming winery. I like the wines and the variety of grapes (17) you get here (e.g., Nebbiollo) that you won't get anywhere else in Livermore valley. What they lack is a high end customer experience to complement their wines, to make it a top winery. It took several attempts to schedule wine and food pairing experience for my group. The food pairings were great, but small. The response when you asked for more of something that you liked, wasn't very professional for a high end winery. Once we finished our pairing and ordered a bottle to drink on the property..the ambassador just told us to find a spot for ourselves and no one ever checked back with us for the next two hours we were there. We wanted to order more food, but no one came by. We left a little dissatisfied overall with...
Read moreWent on a Trolley Wine tour and our first tasting/food pairing was at Las Positas. The chef, Curt Pipes did a wonderful job in describing the wines and what food would go best. He also explained every persons taste buds differed so to experiment with the food. It really was an exceptional experience. Once the trolley returned we spoke with Assistant wine tasting room manager, Krystal Smith. She did an excellent job in explaining some more of the wines, which we tried. We will be joining the wine club due to her presentation. What we liked best, aside from the wine, was the team atmosphere spoken. Curt explained to us that everyone works together and assists each other when needed and correlated it to football. It also didn’t hurt that he liked the Pats! Thanks for a fun and tasteful experience!...
