The history and the scenery is well worth the travel to get to the Natural Bridge. There is a choice to stay at the top to the overlook where once was the Natural Bridge or have a picnic or head on the trail. Once on the trail, there is a choice which trail to take. The trail to your left at the fork has a switchback to take to get at the bottom to the water way.
Once down near the edge of the water coming out of the rocks, you can see light coming from the other side. Be careful walking this trail because it would be easy falling down the switchback which is narrow, dirt/rocky and steep. The rocks at the water edge are a challenge...
Read moreGreat place to visit. Paved walk ways for some folks, dirt trails for others. Beautiful from all perspectives. Once you walk around to see the face of the falls and reach the end of the trail you can walk into a clearing along side the underground portion of the river where the ground falls away. From there if you head away from the river a little and look back the small canyon and falls kind of blend in from what I remember. Made me think how cool it would have been to come upon this sudden drop off and waterfall. We'll go back and visit as often...
