I will be submitting a formal complaint to the municipio of Loiza. This cave is managed by the municipality yet the administration of the cave is unstable, not consistent, does not provide adequate safety resources, does not charge all admissions fairly nor opens nor closes at the specified times. As a tour operator this inconsistency and lack of proper administration is troublesome both to the guide working the tour and to my clients and the un professionalism and rudeness from the administrator leaves much to be desired. Not to mention that the administrator threatened my guide to lock the entrance to the cave to a natural resource that should be available for all during the times specified.
Overall either the municipality needs to change administration, fix the issues described above or our organization will no longer take customers to this cave along with prompting the media, Discover Puerto Rico, Dept of Natural Resources and other tour operators of these issues.

Read moreIt is a really nice place that won’t take too long to visit. The cave is not very deep. PLEASE SPRAY YOURSELF WITH OFF OR ANY OTHER MOSQUITO REPELLENT! I’ve never been bitten by so many mosquitos in my life. They swarm you! There was even what seemed to be a youth group practicing some bomba music on the stage with the young men (and some young ladies) playing the drums and singing while the young ladies danced the bomba in the traditional dresses. It was very nice to see our youth keeping the Puerto Rican culture alive through dance and music. There is a small playground there with a seesaw, swings, monkey bars, etc. Very nice place. Is a versatile place to enjoy nature, fresh air, natural cave with maritime archeological evidence. The places have around three caves; two small and one bigger, where you would see metamorphic rocks, natural water from the roof, humidity, appreciate the ecosystems: bees, some spider print, rocks, nature, dragón fruto in the high roof.
Other place facilities have the park; play yard, stores, restroom, parking lot, natural honey products, wheelchair ramp for some areas. Near Loiza downtown, schools, hospitals, fast food, gas stations...
