⚜️Our visit 3/7/2024 ⚜️

🔹️This place is just absolutely BEAUTIFUL ♥️ The owners hearts are so huge, as they did not just focus on the needs of the animals, but also the needs of people who LOVE nature; They are just FANTASTIC Humans 😍 🔹️Upon arrival we crossed the bridge to find a HUGE tree with red flowers in total bloom, just breathtaking; Perfect photo op 😁 🔹️We walked for 2 hours and 25 minutes; Every single inch of the grounds is SUPER CLEAN 🔹️The attendants we saw feeding the animals were ALL exceptionally kind 🔹️All of the animal enclosures were unbelievably pristine; You can tell the animals are VERY well taken care of 🔹️We did not have to use the restrooms but I went in to see the conditions of it and it was IMMACULATE which totally ROCKS💃😀 🔹️We saw, groundhogs, Eagles, Owls, fox, turtles, fish, a Bear, bobcats, Racoons, Bison, Turkeys, Horses, Goats, Cows, ginormous Pigs, a really cool Rooster (see pic) and Chickens 🔹️They have areas to barbecue and have picnics by the water; Such an Awesome, Relaxing and considerate idea; AND there's a fountain in the water which was so soothing to listen to 🔹️We walked areas where we found we were the only ones on the trail, and we never not once felt scared at all, in fact I have never felt so safe on a trail EVER ♥️♥️ 🔹️It is Free to Enter & Free Parking 🔹️They have a donation box which we were very happy to add money to 🔹️Lastly, located directly below the donation box is a SHOE CLEANER yes you heard me correctly 😍 Stick your foot in with shoes on, move it back and forth and it completely cleans the dirt from walking, off of your shoes! SO INCREDIBLY THOUGHTFUL!

🎉We 100% Recommend this scenic center without hesitation and will return again...

One of the first things mentioned on their website for event rentals is that they don’t double book space, but don’t be fooled…their booking system is severely flawed. We booked the Atrium several months ago and watched the coordinator hand write our event onto the calendar which was clearly empty for the date, but now that we’re just over a month out they supposedly have someone else (“an employee”) that had supposedly booked the space before us and so they tried moving us out to the outdoor pavilion for a baby shower in the middle of summer…

We tried to be flexible saying we’re open to moving our event earlier in the day and be out of there by early afternoon for the other event to take over the space mid afternoon. Morgan, the coordinator, was doing her best to go back and forth and work things out,l which is why I’ll give them a second star, but her supervisor was rude and inconsiderate about the situation and tried to offer some random house at a different location instead that we would not consider suitable for a baby shower. We sent invitations out over a month ago and have family traveling in from across the country that have already booked travel/hotel, but now we’re back to square one having to source a new venue within our budget to host the event. Seems to me like the supervisor is just playing favorites towards an employee all while inconveniencing us and putting stress on my pregnant sister. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your event space needs so this doesn’t...

We rescued an injured Red Tail Hawk. I came home from taking my child to school and there (she) the Hawk was in my front yard. Her right wing was hurt, she couldn't fly, but she wasn't aggressive. Long story short, me and my boyfriend made at least 30 or more calls to try and get some assistance to help this protected bird. You always hear about all the resources out there for this type of situation, but we were unsuccessful in our desperate attempt to get this baby some help. We got put off, told to call this number, that number, blah blah blah. Even spoke to DNR and all they would do is give us another phone number. I finally got a tip to call Dausett Trails. So i did. They were very nice and willing to take her immediately to try and rehabilitate the Hawk. We captured the Hawk, kept her warm, fed her a little and gave her a little water to get her thru the night. Long story short, We drove the baby to them today. They met us at the car to get her. After discussing her issues and giving her known history, they agreed to bring her back to our property after rehabbing her, assuming all goes well and she recovers 100%, and they will release her back at our house so she can be with her mate and in her habitat. We are very thankful that they welcomed her with open arms. Thank you Dausett Trails and your employees for being so kind and welcoming this baby. We are hoping for a speedy recovery with our Hawk and cant wait to have her back flying...
