Fantastic winery, fantastic wine and a fantastic experience for our guests. We launched Destination Drivers wine tours in Lodi in 2019 and Drava was one of the first wineries we visited. William and Steven, brothers & co-owners of Drava Wines were warm and welcoming from the start. Although their winery isn't in an upscale building in the middle of a vineyard, EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER that we have taken there has been thrilled with the wine and has purchased. That's the sign right there - they put their money where their mouth is, and that is why we recommend Drava again and again.
Also important for us is that all our guests loved the experience with William, who runs the tasting room and shares information about the winemaking process, the varietals that they use and why, and just his abundant knowledge of the world due to many years traveling the globe.
I have spent 30 years operating tours around the world and my number one priority is always what is in the client's best interest. That's why I highly recommend Drava to anyone, experienced connoisseur or wine novice. You will not be disappointed and it's an opportunity to be part of and support a growing business that will undoubtedly continue to win awards and impress clients for...
Read moreGreat small batch winery in Lodi. It's definitely worth a stop to try as you won't find these wines anywhere else. All current wines are under 100 cases produced. And yes, while the tasting room is in an industrial park, it's a nice cozy space to try the wines.
Two brothers own & run the winery - one is the winemaker and they share time in the tasting room. You'll find a greater variety of wine types here, as the winemaker has complete control over what grapes/wines he's making and likes to try different varietals.
The wine tasting was definitely worth it - I found myself surprised that I liked all of the wines being offered, even ones where I might not normally like "typical" wines of that varietal. Even though we weren't planning on buying more wines on this trip (wanted to visit the region/try now for purchase later) due to an upcoming move, we still ended up purchasing two bottles here.
I really enjoyed the visit & talking to Steve about the wines/winery. Fun stop in our day, and I'd recommend to other people...
Read moreAbsolute hidden gem in Lodi. Really beautiful and delicious wines. Steve and William clearly know what they are doing. We interacted with William who was not only incredibly knowledgeable (I had a lot of questions about Slovenian wine), but probably one of the most genuinely nice people we talked with on our trip to California. Months later I had more questions about Slovenian wines and he took the time to answer all of my emails in detail (and even remembered us)! Wonderful people and wonderful wine. If you go to one place in...
