We had been satisfied customers and wine club members for the past 15 years. All of this changed on 1/11/2025. We have seen a lot of growth and changes at the winery in the last 5-8 years. What once was a welcoming and cozy tasting room that had a family feel with photos of the family on the walls and the matriarch of the family sharing readings about the history of the winery, and a winery we once enjoyed bringing our dog with us to sit back and relax is and now a minimalist cold atmosphere with staff who doesn't get to appricate being surrounded by the rich family history of the winery and are only interested in turning over their tables ( and pretty ignore you most of the time which is why we prefer going into the tasting room instead of sitting outside). When we arrived on 1/11/2025 to pick up our wine club and do a bit of wine tasting with our dog who has always been welcomed inside the tasting room, were told we were not allowed with our dog in the tasting room due to "food prep" in the tasting room." We knew immediately that was not the reason as they only serve sealed packaged food, nothing is "prepped." We were in disbelief after 15 years of bringing our dog into the tasting room being told this was a policy that went into effect at the first of the year. No sign at the check in counter, no email, no mention on their website, nothing on social media. Once we got the real reason for this sudden change of no longer being a dog friendly winery; which was due to a recent incident of irresponsible dog owners, we decided that if our family member wasn't welcomed anymore then we wouldn't come back and promptly canceled our membership and left. We know to a growing winery that one long time loyal membership doesn't matter but maybe better communication and customer service should be considered for your customers and members...

Jessie’s Grove Winery In Lodi, California is, without a doubt, a priceless gem for many reasons.

Since it is a winery, let’s start with the wines. One word: Delicious. Here’s some more words: Crafted with care, pride and love. Every single bottle.

From rich robust ancient vine Zinfandels to wispy Pinot Noirs, from oaky Chardonnays to seemingly honey-laden Moscatos, this winery offers palate pleasing wines.

They are a vineyard. Surrounded by acres of vines, as you drive down their olive tree lined lane you’re hit with a feeling that you are definitely entering a special place.

The dedication of over 130 years of careful grape cultivation emanates from the soil itself. The lineage of this effort flourishes up to the moment as this vineyard is “Home to the oldest Zinfandel producing wines in the Lodi Appellation.”

When visiting, you are immersed in a country farm. Barns, animals, tractors, wagons and implements are everywhere you look. There are stories either of history or of use for all that you see.

Their tasting room has photos displaying the heritage of the vineyard and of the family owners. Merchandise and memorabilia is all about.

As prized as the wine certainly is, so are the people here. From the family members to the “seems like family” employees all are open, friendly, down to earth personalities who add their own unique touches to make a visit to Jessie’s Grove amazingly special.

I am in love with this outdoor winery. Don’t worry, the tasting room is indoors.

Please be sure to visit the spacious canopied outdoor sitting and mingling area. Here you can learn of the fascinating history of the family, farm and vineyard from the family matriarch herself! She’s not always there, but count yourself lucky if she is.

Make a visit to Jessie’s Grove mandatory. You’ll thank yourself for making...

We attended the Fleetwood Mask concert and had a fantastic time! Had never been to Jessie's Grove Winery before so didn't know what to expect. What a great venue to sit and enjoy a great band! Tons of shade under the beautiful trees. Easy to find a place to park your chairs. Food trucks available or bring you own picnic. And the owner actually is there to greet people and make you feel welcome! And best of all.....great wine at fair prices! I've been to multiple concerts at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga California and paid triple for a Dixie cup size glass of wine! The crowd was a mix of older adults, middle aged adults and families. Even the kids were enjoying the concert! Everyone was super friendly. All in all a great evening! We will definitely be back next summer for another concert! We traveled from San Jose to see the band, but if we lived closer, we would probably be at all the summer concerts and would definitely become wine...

Made a point of coming to Jessie's while traveling on business. I've been before & I just love this place. Great wine. Great hospitality. Great ambiance. What's not to love? Edit: Removed a star. While I can't say enough about the great on-site experience, I was not impressed with the follow-up on the wine that I ordered for shipping. I had been told it would ship the following day, but I never received any kind of communication or confirmation that it had ever been shipped. After a week had passed, I called the winery and was challenged to get connected to the right person. The person I spoke to said the tasting room would need to follow up. I missed the call, but the voicemail only indicated it the day that it had shipped. Then I received an email, which was supposed to be a link to the tracking. The link did not work and so I responded to that email that the link did not work and didn't hear back. Fortunately, the wine was delivered the next day.

This is one of those beautiful property, but terrible wines place. Similar to Michael David, but worse wine. It's for those who are more into ambiance and live music than the wines itself, which is the majority of people so it's good they get a lot of business. Wine tasting is $15 for 5 mix of white/red wines or $20 for 4 dessert wines, 1 bottle purchase to waive. Of our group of 5 people, no one liked any of the wines, and we buy bottles at most wineries we go to. It just tasted like cheap, low quality wine. Service was very slow. Maybe not our servers fault since she always seemed busy. Mostly outdoor seating, but some indoor as well. Only 2 gender neutral bathrooms available.
