Viaggio Estate & Winery: A Whole Vibe (Even for Non-Drinkers!) So my uncle booked a room at Viaggio Estate & Winery for my aunt’s birthday, and let me tell you—this place is a moment. First off, Viaggio literally means journey in Italian, and they take that theme seriously in the best way. When you pull up, you’re greeted by this gorgeous gated archway with the words “Where Your Journey To Forever Begins” inscribed above it, and yeah, it definitely sets the tone for what’s inside. The estate itself? Straight-up Tuscany vibes—warm, elegant, and so clean you could probably eat off the floors (but like, don’t). The atmosphere is super inviting, like a cozy-but-classy getaway. The staff? Absolute angels. Friendly, helpful, and actually happy to be there, which makes all the difference. Now, let’s talk food. They brought us pizza, and it was actually good—not just “winery food” good, but legit tasty. And the live band? Absolute legends. They came over and made my aunt (the birthday girl) feel like a total star. It was such a fun, personal touch that made the whole day feel extra special. And here’s the thing—I don’t even drink wine, and I still had the best time. Whether you’re a wine lover or just here for the vibes, Viaggio delivers. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, welcoming spot to celebrate something big (or just escape for a bit), this place is 100% worth the trip.

Out and about, looking for something fun and a little closer to home, I found Viaggio's. The ambience on entry was delightful, if questionable (their motto referencing "forever" above the main entrance leaves much to be desired). Live music, courtesy of a one man guitar band, was a pleasant greeting - though no staff was to be readily found to assist new visitors (rather than navigating families seated at tables, hoping). No information or direction provided, we followed the stragglers around until we found the bar. Most tasting rooms I've visited in the Lodi area were less presented as a wine stand at a festival, than here. This is where you can order wine that tastes like water for $13+/flight pricing, a "wood-fired" Totino's style pizza (which you'll pick up from a random hut outside after your "buzzer goes off"), and standard metal patio furniture seating. There are spiders aplenty! Avoid if phobic, but they definitely keep the gnat population down. Edit: to the entry statement as response to the owner. Readers, please note: Owner went after me as "adverse to farm life," rather than responding to my watered wine for the price comment. Could've suggested a line of their wines to try, but noticeably did not.

I love coming to Viaggio because the grounds are so beautiful and the vibe is energetic. Today we went around 3pm and got 3 wine mix drinks and 2 pizzas (pepperoni and vegetarian). We paid ~$100 for these. There was live music, I did not catch his name but it was just a guy and his guitar playing inside where you order your pizza and drinks. Outside was very nice temperature-wise but this Spring the gnats are really out and about so we moved inside to eat. After we ate our pizza, my boyfriend bought another one of the orange juice wine spritzer drinks but it was in a noticeably smaller glass than his first one! Not sure what that was all about, but we paid enough to have a full size drink! Next, we went to walk around the grounds and took some pictures in the phone booth. We also walked down to the water and took some pictures before finding some lawn chairs among the trees. There are always lots of kids running around and strollers parked by tables full of wine and pizza, so just expect a family feel at this winery. I feel a little off about the difference in wine glass sizes, but I still come back for the party winery vibes.

We got married on 10.29.22 at Viaggio! Amazing day for us, our guests had the greatest time. Amazing location and pictures. However, we have a lot of negatives to highlight. The lack of communication/coordination by Viaggio was a complete nightmare. We experienced constant turnover with their coordinator since committing a year prior to our wedding date. They were unable to locate our 1st payment, they had to inquire with us the exact amount and when the check was deposited. At one point, they adjusted our food pricing to a higher amount. We were proactive in our communication and reached out ourselves as we received zero communication from Viaggio close to 30 days of our wedding. We were informed 3 days before our wedding; one of the appetizer options we chose was no longer available. We paid additional money to extend our reception by an hour. Because of that, we had to pay a mandatory $5/pp for the alcohol. However, alcohol was not served for at least 30 minutes after our reception started. Their staff was “ taking a break.” We didn’t pay for their staff to take breaks nor is it our concern if you they didn’t hire staff members to fulfill the responsibility to support bartenders at our wedding. We have requested money back but they won’t acknowledge this happened. Sadly, there was no knife available on our dessert table to cut our wedding cake. They were supposed to provide one. Our cake was cut and was not served to either bride or groom or placed on our sweetheart table. One of our tables didn’t receive a full plate of food due to the limited amount cooked / prepared. We paid for buffet. Our guest complained the reception chairs were dirty/dusty. Day of coordinator was non-existent until a few hours before our wedding even though both of us were getting ready on property. We thankfully “hired” a friend to help with day of coordinating, if not, our wedding wouldn’t have been as smooth as it was. Our photographer & videographer, first time shooters at Viaggio were not approached by Viaggio introducing themselves or checking in with them throughout the entire day. We received multiple complaints the way day of coordinator communicated to our wedding party, parents, and guests -she was screaming. Supposedly due to a fire hazard, they had to keep the receptions lights on the entire night. We had at least 5 firefighters at our wedding and they had never heard such a thing during a wedding reception. Don’t waste your money to pay for the chandelier as they’ll keep it up anyways as its too much of a hassle for them to remove. All the owner cares about is money. She takes zero accountability for any downfalls by Viaggio. It is quite comical she has such a strong opinion based on our feedback but was nonexistent through the entire process! She isn’t apologetic and has lack of empathy for any negative experience a bride and groom faces during their journey with Viaggio. She admittedly deletes negative reviews. Family/friends have written reviews on other sites to share their experience- and the owner ,Teri ,calls everyone liars in her response. We also rented the mansion during our wedding weekend as we wanted a full weekend celebration. We had communicated to our wedding coordinator(S), who has been in constant communication with Teri, on multiple occasions for over a year prior to our wedding that we were hosting an after party at the mansion. This was communicated to us that it happens all the time, and what a great idea for us to do so. The VRBO listing states " no parties", we were told the moment we received the keys / signed the contract that we weren't allowed more than 10 people after 10pm or our $1,000 deposit would be withheld. We'd also be fined if the "cops were called on us". This is not on their VRBO listing. False advertisement. Our $1,000 deposit was not returned. Viaggio staff also entered into the Mansion without our permission flickering the lights on and off during our after party. It is a very pretty mansion with a fantastic location but sadly we won’t...

PLEASE READ Let me preface: There were few Viaggio employees that made this experience the best it could be. To those people, my largest thank you! You made it bearable.

I’ll also say yes….It’s a long review. But before scrolling to the short review, please read……..the individual replying to the negative comments here is lying. Their only priority is money no matter the cost. Charging top-dollar for below bottom service. So it's a long review but it’s everything I wish someone told me…

I had planned my wedding for two years. Frequently coming to the venue to see how it was run. I read reviews, the good, the bad. I researched several venues. Yet, I chose Viaggio because of how gorgeous it was. Most people were friendly, and the convenience it provided those traveling from out-of-town.

I would later realize, I should’ve walked away when I had the chance. I should’ve listened to the bad reviews because my experience was appalling. I thought my wedding would be different. I thought it would be the one that worked out because I am a great planner. I stayed organized, but none of it mattered. My wedding was early June 2023. This list is a VERY brief summary of what I wish someone told me, experienced firsthand at Viaggio Estate & Winery from 2021-2023.

Went through 3 wedding coordinators, in a span of 2 years. I had to reach out to the venue to find out all changes, no introduction made. No communication for weeks during critical decisions time. Poor management of payments. No one available to received payments when I went to drop off Instructed to leave payments with random employees, then being blamed for doing so. Losing checks. Careless with details. I made sure details were in place at all times. Management was rude, discriminatory, speaking out of term, insulting friends, not catering or accommodating any needs, or not providing fair compensation. Did not communicate to clients the ceremony site flooded completely (1-month prior to wedding day) due to historic weather. Did not communicate clearly the day-of Didn’t show up at expected time (AM) All areas we were going to get ready, on day-of were locked. No privacy around cottage Random wine tasting guests + families were looking into the wedding party ready. It was extremely inappropriate. Wedding party had to go out of their way several times before staff stepped in. Father of the bride & uncles had to guard the doors. Ran out of water bottles for wedding guests, the wedding day was 90 degrees. Staff throwing drinks at the family of the bride & groom due to frustration.

No clean utensils, dishes, etc in the kitchen. Garbage was confusing. Ran out of bags. A/C wasn’t functioning in the upper level of the Villa. It is CA in June, the rooms on one side were saunas. People walking on property. Minimal water pressure. Had to contact the property manager for WiFi. Extensive fines for using the pool incorrectly. To the point where it deterred us from swimming. Plus the spa did not turn on.

Now that the brief points have been covered. I’d like to say this – the venue itself has so much potential. I truly think Viaggio Estate & Winery used to be great, but at some point things changed. I’m not sure when, all I can speak to is my experience over the last 2 years. Some individuals were so great, so helpful and kind but those who were less favorable truly ruined the experience. If I could give one piece of advice to those looking to book their wedding here, be careful. Please be so sure in your decision. If it were up to me, I’d go somewhere else. Not because it wasn’t beautiful. It was everything I wanted and then some. What I am saying is that, in my opinion, the people who I had to deal with in the process, didn’t make it worth it. I’m not sure if the people running the page will take this review down. Or try to deny it, similar to others that left unfavorable reviews. Further, I felt like what I had to say was necessary for myself, and others. It is just...

My future wife and I have been going to this winery for years. Telling friends and family what a beautiful place this is and for the most part always had a good time. So my future wife and I decided to take some (save the date pictures) at there winery for our wedding date. She called the winery 2 weeks in advance to see if this was possible. She was told yes, there is $100.00 charge and it can be paid at the winery prior to taking pictures. So we spent over $3000.00 on her dress (not a wedding dress) make up and hair people for my her ect. Our professional photographer also was on file there and had taken many photos said great choose. WHAT A MISTAKE!! So we meet our photographer out there, around 6pm friday the 20th of June 2025. Our wedding is in September ........ Upon check in at the bar the lady says, did you fill out a form? Our photographer said no I have one on file. She staff said no you need to fill out a new one, ok, no problem!! So for some reason she goes to talk to the owner, comes back and says, he won't allow you to take pictures, he said you look like you just got married (we did look good) and your wife is wearing a wedding dress??? What!! We again explained we called in advance and we were told we could take pictures for $100.00 fee, and these pictures are for save the date for our wedding. So the staff lady goes back to him again to explain and comes back and says, (the owner said no way can you take pictures unless you book the wedding with us)????? This whole thing was terrible, basically told us over the phone we could take pictures, or we would NEVER have gone there, called us liers that we just got married, like we're trying to get over on them. Total disrespect, my wife and I are classy older people, not kids, and you can see this. As a business owner I was discussed on how there was no consideration for the preparation we went through, and the total erregant attitude like to bad to sad. I expressed our disappointment and there total lack of caring about us on there own policy. She then said there were new owners, and I can't go against the owner. I'm confused, you say it's ok, we follow the rules and check in with our photographer, we were ready to fill out new form and pay $100.00, we prepare all day with expenses. Then told NO!! There was absolutely no call, or reason to be so disrespected, and put out. There is no excuse for this kind of treatment!! Never, ever will we recommend, or frequent this place again. I recommend teaching the staff on correct policy's, an procedures so no one else has to be humiliated, an course for the staff and owners on customer...
