My first experience here was just last weekend for their Labor Day even on Monday. I most likely will not return. Approaching the farm was beautiful and parking was easy. As we walked up to the entrance it was little far away and that’s no issues for me to get the steps in and the weather was warm but my significant others second time out so he was struggling with walking due to being in a neck brace from being hit by a car two months back. As we arrived to the tents they informed us it was $15 to enter and that only gets you access to the farm only. There would be food trucks, beer trucks, water activities, cut you’re own ect. We were little surprised how much the entry fee was but paid it as we wanted to experience the event. We walked back to the food truck by the water and it was a long walk for my significant other, he was in pain and again in a neck brace sweating. We were in shocked when the workers on off road side by side vehicle just drove past and did not offer to ride us up as he looks in pain. Once we got back to the live music and food you had to pay for everything separately on top of you’re entry fee. We get to the food trucks excited we waited all day eat to be able to try it out and both trucks were sold out of food. The went was 11-5pm we arrived about 1pm... I was shocked they were sold out and upset they only had alcohol to serve as people are out in the heat and consuming beer only and we’re charging that amount to enter but didn’t offer the food trucks. Unfortunately we could not take advantage of the beer trucks and the only thing we could do was cut flowers and that was not really our intentions of coming to the even. With there being little to no seating by the water we headed back to the car and try flagging down someone for a ride back and the just flew right by us :/. It’s a beautiful farm but I felt as thought not enough staff to attend to guest through the farm, seemed little disorganized with event, over priced especially when they did not have food trucks because of that beer lines where long. That’s just my personal experience and...
Read moreVisited Dalton Farm for the first time 2 days ago. They were hosting their Spring Tulip Festival. I had wanted to visit for some time, and visited with my great friend and her grand daughter. It was a beautiful day! The farm is easy to find, the parking lot spacious, and we were greeted with a parking assistant who organized the cars and crowd. There were great visuals from the parking lot on, with photo ops for all at the entrance. Map signs were located right away, and easy to read. Dalton offers an online ticket purchase site providing a significant savings from the normal gate fee. It was so easy to purchase tickets by phone, and your ticket uses a QR code easily downloaded. The gate had several friendly employees who greeted us and answered any questions. The Farm is so spacious; there were tulips everywhere! All shapes and colors. There were so many things to see for all ages. This farm is dedicated to “U Pick” flowers with directions on how to pick, buckets for picking, and a table station with paper to create bouquets. The prices were very reasonable and a great idea for purchasing tulips for gifts. The farm is child friendly with so much to see and do! They had the Easter Bunny at Dalton Farm, and free for all to meet and greet. They have an organized snack shop area, fruit and vegetable stand, and flower check out. We had a fantastic time and will definitely come again. There are several festivals all year with many different flower offerings. We Highly recommend...
Read moreI have come twice to this beautiful place from Baltimore, and the two times I have come I have been impressed by the place, I came when it was the tulips, and now with the sunflowers, they have been great experiences, incredible flowers, and the atmosphere equally, it is a good place to come with your family or partner, live concerts and sale of food💓, And I have seen reviews of other people but let's keep in mind that a farm is large so that we can all enjoy walking and I have been to several farms and my opinion I love it when they are large spaces so I can enjoy different points of view of the flowers and the price of $20 per person is very good for me because we take into account that the people who work in that place sow the flowers under the sun to give us a space of peace and their work is very hard for them so I hope that all the people who take into account that the workers are exposed to temperatures and a hard job of sowing seeds and even if one is going to take pictures with the people on the farm worked hard to give us that nice experience, so I can tell everyone to never complain about the prices of a farm because they are people who put a lot of effort and dedication in what they do, because sowing is not something easy, I leave very happy and I admire the dedication of all the people...
