Very beautiful place. However, don't expect any of the locals to actually know where it is located or anyone that lives close by that's even heard of it. Secondly, finding the place was not an easy task. There are signs on the highway that indicate where to turn but it's still easy to miss because it looks like your turning onto an access road that leads to nowhere. If you're lucky enough to turn in the right direction there's a tiny little sign that let's you know that you're going in the right direction. Thirdly, if you have ever been to a state maintained park, trail or nature preserve you know what good trail maps look like. This isn't one of those places. There is a kiosk with literature posted but you have to look hard at the map to figure it out. Clearly not a lot of time or energy spent on it. Now, once you actually get to the rock bridge it is amazing!! Definitely worth the hike! DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE 1ST QUARTER TO HALF MILE OF THE TRAIL!!! There are very convenient wooden walkways leading toward the wooded area of the trail. Once you are past this there are moderately difficult hills to ascend and descend. Be sure to wear good shoes/boots. Take rain gear if there is even a hint of rain.

The hike is absolutely worth it. Unfortunately, it had just rained, and was really muddy on the trail that takes you down below, so we skipped that view on this journey. A suggestion I would make is more communication on the trail while going to and from the site. There were some points where the trail would fork, and we weren’t sure which one to take. We found our way though, and the Rockbridge was breathtaking.

Compared to all the other hikes and natural beauty in Hocking, Rockbridge is neat, but not worth revisiting again and again. The trails need some serious upkeep, they feel forgotten . The hike out is not for beginners, if it's a warm day, bring water and a good set of hiking shoes, it gets very steep and lots of roots to trip over. It was a neat natural feature, but overshadowed by lack of upkeep and signage.
