This is absolutely my favorite park. lots of shade on the trails, lots of space. Great multipurpose path that i can ride my bike on and great for spotting wildlife from time to time, especially near dusk. i usually really like to walk the natural trails on the back lake, but i'm becoming increasingly concerned about running into a poisonous snake. I like snakes, except the poisonous ones. i've only encountered 2 snakes that i know of, at this park, but they were both more recent. 1 swimming in the water where i was about to step, in the trail, at the back lake, where you have to cross the water. that was fall 2016. And then last week (spring 2017) i came up on another, on the same trail, that was about 4ft long, brown with red under and behind it's jaw. i'm not a snake expert, so i'll probably stick to the paved trails until i'm more confident that these are not poisonous, since both were within...

This park is amazing ! It has a lot of different hiking trails to choose from . If you need a place to think this is the place . It offers a variety of things . It has a children's playground ( I haven't seen many kids more adults ) , a horse park , it has different docks with small fishing areas. There are a variety of fish in this lake mostly small mouth bass , variety of catfish & Bream. My boyfriend has been coming to this park for 7 years . He has only caught 3 fish . On my third visit this month I caught a total of 9 fish including Bream , Large Mouth Bass , a few others . We were fishing with funky chicken liver and the big worms they sell at Walmart with heavy weights on the line. I forget which line brand but it was green & strong. In all this is a great park for relaxing , a good work out or just some special times with family . Also I don’t like outdoor bathrooms but this park keeps a...
