NoĀ  what I was expecting.Ā  This commentĀ  not helping šŸ˜‘.. every body has their own label .Ā  I won said that is difficult but I won'tĀ  said that is easy,Ā  the main trail is not on gaviota State Park . The entrance is next to the gaviota State park there is a private road before you entrance to gaviota park, so you don't have to go insideĀ  the park , there is a road paved on the right hand that you going to take andĀ  the firstĀ  curve to the right the main trail entrance will be there... is 2 mile round trip .but it took me 3 hrs there ..is so beautiful,Ā  the caves are amazing.Ā  The firstĀ  is so easy,Ā  you can go to the top ,Ā  and the big caveĀ  you can go to the top but if you are advanced hiker, underĀ  the big cave are many caves ,but this one are no easy ..enjoy!!Ā  please keep clean ,please šŸ™ please don't do it the graffiti you will destroy the nature, learnĀ  from other countries that they keep the nature so beautiful,Ā  clean and tourist, you won'tĀ  see graffiti in caves or waterfall in Mexico or South America,Ā  como on! guys you leave in USA. Keep and protect your land, don't destroy by writing your name on it..

Very beautiful and breath taking view. But the hike is somewhat difficult because of the angle of attack. Somewhat steep. Especially if you have not been active. Do bring water, good shoes or boots because as mentioned, it is steep and the soil is loose. Take plenty of rests and take your time. Please be very careful if you are taking an elderly person as a fall can send you tumbling down the hill. One thing that sucks is that people just feel the need to mark up such majestic places. This is why we can’t have nice things. Please respect and treat the public parks so that future generations can also enjoy them.

The hike starts with a walk down an access road before veering off at a notice board, so not an exciting beginning, particularly on a hot day. The trail climbs steeply and really only gets interesting once you reach the ridge. The lower caves (with the blue paint) offer some shelter from the sun, but the main attraction offers refreshing ocean breezes and a nice view. Our group thought it was worth the effort.

Our hope to see some wildlife was only partially rewarded with the usual birds, lizards, and squirrels until we saw a large king snake towards the end of our...
