Nice addition to the community & a godsend for those of us dismayed to see nearly every local open space turned into yet another soulless, environmentally destructive McMansion tract. Many sincere thanks to the Goddard family for saving this land, making a park of it, & sharing it with us.
Very nice walking trails, in & out of the woods. Plus community garden plots, an enclosed dog park, a cool playground area, and a pond.
Too many dogs on the trails with owners who don't see to understand that not everyone wants strangers' dogs coming close to them and fail to keep their dogs away from others unless invited to approach.
Also, I wish they had more ornamental & flowering shrubs. I'd even help plant them. I don't expect Longwood gardens, but the place could use some horticultural...
Read moreI'm truly marveled at how much has been done in the way of developing Goddark Park. Starting as just a small trail, the park now boasts miles of cleared or semi-cleared trail, picnic areas, a playground, lovely bridges, a community garden, dog park, and more. The local flora and fauna are wonderful to see. There is a great deal of variety in the trails- never gets boring! There is no difficulty sharing the trails with cyclists, dog walkers, families, etc. The park volunteers are all very friendly as well. I highly recommend...

We found this gem of a place where our dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Belgian Malinois, could romp around and then take a walk together. What a lovely little park!
