If you are looking for a place to get away from traffic and get in touch with nature look no further. I went on a hot Saturday afternoon and the parking was pretty tight, but there was plenty of room on the lake. No motorized boats are allowed so it is peaceful on the water. There is a big system in one area with neat Pitcher Plants that can be seen as well as other big life. There were a pair of loons that seemed pretty well adapted to paddlers. They popped up close to my kayak and obliged a couple of pictures before diving again. All in all it was a very peaceful paddle experience. I will definitely come again.

This is a well maintained park. The state park Ranger was very nice and suggested which set of picnic tables to eat at to get view of Loons. She also told us about their flower which is carniverous. There were port a potties. Trail was flat and beautiful through the trees and the lake was picturesque with the delivery on the loons.

Great trail with beautiful views. Although this is an easier hike, the path can get slippery on days after it’s rained. The park rangers were very friendly and informative. I recommend taking the detours to see the old summer camp cabins and cemetery while you’re on the trail.

I always love coming to Lowell lake. The parking lot was extremely full over Labor Day weekend but the attendants were extremely nice as always. Lots of great fishing, walking trails and picnic tables to have lunch at. Dogs are welcome on a leash and it’s always nice to see all the dogs with their families. Can’t recommend coming here enough! Well worth the $5 per...

Been visiting since the 80's. My family had a house down the road at one point. Great spot for hiking, canoes and fishing. Snowshoes and cross country skis are worthwhile in the winter, Ice skating is great when the temperature and weather permit. Lots of wildlife, bears and cats included. Bug spray will make your warm months better. This place is...
