Sushi Private Catering — Attraction in Long Beach

As sushi snobs, we were skeptical that catering could be as good as the high-end omakase places. But put those concerns to rest - this was THE premier sushi experience you must try!

Let's face it - sushi is all about the show and the food.

The Show: Julius arrived exactly on time, well-organized and well-prepared, and prepared everything. Then when it was time to sit and enjoy, he spent 2 hours serving up some of the best sushi we've ever had, all the while engaging and interacting with everyone. It was as personable an experience as you could have, all in the comfort of your own home. No awkward grumpy chef staring at you as you eat each bite. Just relaxed good times that was all about enjoyment.

The food: We were also educated on how they get their fish, where it's sourced from, and how they can get even better quality than the restaurants. Because they don't have the overhead of a restaurant-space, that budget is spent on just higher end food.

The bonus: from booking, coordinating, and executing, Tammy and Julius were super responsive and easy to work with. They also accommodated us with our special requests for lobster and mirugai.

I had booked M Sushi for a surprise omakase birthday dinner for my oldest brother. I couldn’t be happier with their service. The entire team was so helpful upon booking. They will text you the menu and go through everything one by one to make sure you are pleased with the layout of the menu. M sushi was generous enough to throw in some of my requested accommodations of certain rolls and baked salmon completely complimentary. I was really grateful for that since my niece is almost 3 and doesn’t eat raw fish.

We had the honor of having Chef Ling orchestrate the omakase. He was so professional, cleanly and punctual. Believe it or not, he showed up about an hour early to make sure he wasn’t late! During the omakase experience, he guided us on how exactly to eat what was prepared and to let him know anytime we wanted more personalized rolls, sashimi, or hand-rolls prepared. With whatever fish was left over at the end, he created a variety platter for us to eat later on. (Note there is a lot of food- you will definitely be full by the end)

We booked them for my husband’s 40th birthday and they were incredible!! We did an omakase dinner for 10 people at home and everyone loved it! The booking was seamless, they were extremely responsive, and payments were easy to make. The chef was so kind and gracious, he came on time, set up and cleaned up everything on his own, and left the kitchen spotless. The quality of the fish was amazing, every dish was so beautiful and beyond delicious! He took requests after all the courses were served and we were all too full to make any requests. He even brought out the remaining fish sashimi-style for us to enjoy. My guests had so much fun, they said they had never experienced anything like this and they truly felt that it was such a special experience.
