Nicollet Tower is just a short 5 minute drive west from Interstate 29 and is right off from the pavement. Free for all to visit and open everyday during day light hours. Very clean and neat place to visit with a little local history (for all you map lovers), though I wish the interpretive center would show a little more focus on Mr. Nicollet and his work. If you need to stretch your legs for a bit, stop in and have a visit.

Stopped by while passing through. Very awesome views to be seen from the top of the tower. The information center was also interesting and the gentleman working there is very nice he gave both of my kids some cool nature cards. When we left to head West we took old highway 10 which skirts the north of the tower grounds it was a very pleasant secluded country drive. Be careful though as it is a narrow road.

I always stop here when I'm in the area. If you stop at the right time there's a small museum there with local artwork that's beautiful. There are bathrooms as well. Its quiet there and once you get to the top it's just amazing. Only downside is there a lot of dumb teenagers in the area so sometimes they'll drop glass bottles from the top of the tower and the walking area will be covered in broken glass.....
