🌳This place is an absolute beauty! It's bursting with greenery. There are fountains, multiple parks, and fishing spots. Martin's Dock even hosts summer concerts.

You'll see plenty of geese and ducks wandering around. There's no shortage of benches and picnic tables. And the 3.6 - mile walking path that loops around the entire lake is my go - to for a walk, no matter the season.

The trees here are from all over the world, and the grass and planted areas are well - maintained. The city does its best to ensure tree safety, but there are still a few times a year when falling branches pose a hazard.

There's a rich variety of wildlife, including birds, turtles, squirrels, and beavers. It also has two playgrounds and two restroom areas. The best outdoor community events take place here.

I love walking here, but a quick sunset stop or sitting in the car on a sunny day to watch the wildlife, fountains, water, and trees is...

Lake Sacajawea Park has four sections, and a walking trail connects them, circling the lake. You will notice some solar system plaques along the lakes trail. The most popular section is the Martins dock area has a playground for children, Pioneer Lion's Island, and a footbridge crossing the other side. In the north section, a Japanese garden is on an island. It's gated and not always open. The segment in front of the churches on Kessler Blvd has a basketball court. That's next to the Elks building called Harlie's Hoops. Another playground is on the other side of the Elks building. Lion Shelter is in the section in front of the hospital with another children's playground. You can fish in the lake and use your non-motorized raft or canoe on the lake. The main launching area is at Martin's dock, but any bank along the lake gives easy access. The lake hosts the Go Fourth Festival from July 2nd...

It seems a fair amount of people review lake Sacajawea Park. There's no services here there's no food or products to buy and there's rarely any workers here. You might see somebody mowing the lawn. So I'm not really sure what good a review does for this park. It's busy here. There are people walking the path which goes all the way around the entire park. There are plenty of spots to stop and look at the water and the Japanese gardens areas. Plenty of nice little benches and spots to stop and take a break. A lot of the grass here is Browning like the lawn in my front yard. Like many areas in longview. There are however some nice shaded spots with some really nice green grass. Those spots I noticed the geese like two hang out on.
