Odlin County Park — Attraction in Lopez Island

Just want to say THANK YOU to the park staff at Odlin County Park. I found the website very helpful with informative details about each site, and used the online reservation system. 4 of us biked into camp last weekend (May 30, 31). We found our site in pristine condition, the bathrooms very clean and well cared for, even after the Sunday morning rush, they were clean with plenty of TP and hand sanitizer. The garbage and recycling scene was well labeled and easy to access. Also, even tho many campsites had fires, there was plenty of firewood and kindling available every day!! A special thank you to the very friendly staff who helped us move from W25 to W26 without a hitch and cheerfully gave us good ideas about places to go! Appreciate all of your hard work!! WE will be back!!!...

This review is primarily for boaters. Odlin County Park Odlin Park is on the northwest end of Lopez Island facing Upright Channel. The park's location on a large bay or rather indent in the shoreline suggests protection from passing ferry and boat wakes but don't be fooled. Anchoring or hooking onto any of the four park buoys may result in a miserable rolly stay including possible anchor dragging. On the bright side, the county maintains an excellent dock for two-hour tie-ups and dinghy landing. The popular waterfront campground is first rate and it is only a twenty-minute bike ride into Lopez Village. Tip: Use Odlin Park as a very convenient pick up drop off and rendezvous location when planning trips with car and bicycle campers around...

I stayed this campsite for 4 nights 5 days. The campsite I was able to book has limited view of ocean and it's high location compared to sea level. So I didn't have direct access to ocean. But regardless, my booked site was end of campsite. So relatively less traffic of cars and people. Only hope in future of this campsite is to have shower facility. I brought portable shower, portable standing tent to get a shower at the campsite this time. I went out ocean at 3 places at Lopez. Just outside from this Odlin State Park was one of them. I enjoyed a lot at "slowpez island" stay at Labor...
