Love, love, love this trail system in Johnstown. Easy to find, ample parking. Two restrooms with flushable toilets and running water with sinks. Playground. Maps were available at the trail sign. And nice maps, very nice maps. The waterproof kind, large, foldable, with all the trails on it. Impressed! It lists 8 trails. We chose the 2.2 mile out-and-back Pathway to the Falls trail with blue blazes. And, yes, it goes to small falls but the better falls are midway. The path is clearly marked with blue blazes on trees and rocks. Part of the trail is along the waterway so you have to navigate walking on rocks in this waterway. It hadn't rained for quite some time so navigating was mostly dry for us. It is along a shaded path with some hills and jewelweed with yellow and orange flowers. We even saw some dragonflies, a type I hadn't seen before. It exceeded my expectations and was geologically very interesting. On my list to come back again.

Was recommended by a friend to go here. Took the hike to the waterfall. Loved it so much we had our wedding here. Mike was very friendly and easy to coordinate with. Park is kept very clean. Plenty of space for a wedding or any type of event. They post a sign that the park is closed to the public during private events which did help keep most out, but not everyone. Great scenery for pictures. You have a ton of seating, picnic tables, benches, fire pits, restroom, a kitchen and the option for a beer tap. Plenty of parking too.

I went in May and took the Blue trail it is the nearest to the waterfall it leads directly to it. The trail was easy you can take 10 years old kid it will be easy and safe. The place is beautiful the only thing that bothered me is that you can hear the cars noises from the road nearby while walking in the trail

Want to stay close to "city" but hit the trails, well this is where you need to go. Choose the trail that best suits your skill level. If you are looking for an absolutely challenging trail take yellow. If you want a less stressful path take red or lime green. White is sort of the middle of the road. Take an adventure and walk to the falls over the river rocks. No matter what trail you take you will get a nice workout. Take a picnic lunch or even camp the night in the woods. The possibilities are endless. Plus a little treasure hunt, for geo boxes. Good luck,...
