While it's not a full or typical drive in experience, the owners kindness and want to please you and be friendly make up for what's missing. It has a professional projector used & audio that comes through your car radio. Other than that it's an up and coming project that will eventually include things like a full cantina and snack bar, but what right now is closer to a fancy camping experience. It is in the country about 5 min away from the main highway, a fun communal experience with spaces to talk with other movie goers. They have speakers that allow you listen outside your car. You can order a small popcorn and they bring it to you after the movie starts. They have cans of soda, a few candies and pastries. Only about 30 cars would fill the space & can see the screen... so get there early. What's missing and what could improve: 1. more formal snack bar.... I want this business to make more money by being able to offer pizza, a popcorn machine, a fridge for candy, pretzels, etc. 2. Better lighting to portapotties... it has to be dark, but some markers would be helpful. Ever think about partnering with the bus-tourism people and get those leaving Myrtle Beach to stop here with a tour bus? We really enjoyed our time even as it had a less formal feel. I think people would enjoy it best with realistic expectations that this is a very lax and informal drive in.

We were the only ones there. The owner showed us around the whole place since we were early. She's got places to camp, horseback ride, (If you bring a horse) haunted walk thru, bonfire, and the movies. She brought out popcorn and some snacks for my daughter. We tuned in our radio for the movie with no problems. For a privately owned business, one woman operation, it was priced right. No complaints. Enjoyed one of the movies and left before the second because my daughter was tired, and we had a 40-minute drive home without doors or top on our jeep.

One of the best Entertainment & events I have seen in Columbus County. That is year around! Very COVID-19 safe! The owner was very friendly and had very professional attitude, and her Mascot “buck-shot” was very very well trained! She made sure everything was perfect, and quickly made my party of 4 very much like family before and then after the movie !! Will definitely be back too see more! The house of Gucci was awesome one “THE extra BIG screen”

I am only taking the time to post a review to share my experience with "whomever" answered the phone when I called the number provided for this establishment. I am allowing 3 Stars solely based on the opinions of others who have actually visited and enjoyed their time here, not by my own experience at this drive in location. I have been visiting Drive In Movie Theatres for 41yrs. Traveled as little as 20 minutes up the road, and my family has traveled as far as 3.5 hours just to visit a Drive In close to our home, that was a monthly occurrence!!! Unfortunately, I will never visit THIS ONE in person... here is why 😞 Friday afternoon I called the number listed to get movie information after a local store cashier mentioned going last year. It came up in conversation because my son mentioned being excited about moving back out west so he can go to the outside movies again. Namely a "drive in." While on the phone the woman on the other end of the line was friendly at first. I asked if they were open, she said yes. Then I asked what movies were playing, she hesitated some and answered. Lastly, I asked what times do they show... HER TONE changed and she says, (rudely) "We have a website you can just go on and get all this information.." (((the issue with that was I am in my car and for whatever reason my phone was not allowing their website to display, or I would have never called))) Her tone, triggered a nerve... I said ,"well I figured if I called you might had a recording with info, since you answered I didnt think you mind answering a few questions....well thanks, have a good one, and I hung up the phone 👍 Not even TWO MINUTES LATER I get a text from this establishments phone number and it read, " I looked up your phone number and you are not on our registered or VIP list. ( I havent a clue what that is or why she even mentioned it) I was just saying you could go online to get the information, but you with your sad attitude can just go on and you are probably better suited with a night of NNETFLIX at home. Sorry not sorry." I replied back cordially cause I wasnt going to allow this woman to get under my skin. After receiving such a text from a "business" , someone and place that I have never visited before... you can see why I chose to not to go 😞 BTW after reading all their reviews, the good and bad, I am no friend or acquaintence to the "roofer" Noticed in my readings that whomever replies to bad reviews likes to accuse reviewers of being friendly with them, has not taking ownership of issues, and likes to ride a pity pot in responses. I am simply a family person who retired out in this area 3yrs ago after visiting 2x a year for a decade. I only wish the best for this business and hope the next generation understands the importance of good quality customer service and representation, more so than the current owner đŸ‡ș🇾 It is not in "good business" to text potential customers out of the blue in such unkindly nature. Please keep in mind not everyone in the world has access to the internet at the touch of a fingertip, social media, or...

My wife and I were planning a weekend get a away for the North Myrtle Beach area. The Mrs. did a google search for some different to do for the weekend, and this drive in Facebook page came up. We did speaker with the owner/operator , a Ms. Sherry Barnes, over the phone a week or two a head of trip to see if the business would be open that weekend. The owner/operator, Ms. Sherry Barnes, was pleasant over the phone, and explained what they had to offer and its operations concerning movie selection. I will say to those people heading to this drive in site with no disrespect intended towards the operator, Ms. Sherry Barnes, for this drive in is not a standard big time drive in operation like the ones in 1970's and 1980's. It's a small business model and mostly a one person or one horse or one redneck operation from Columbus County North Carolina trying to keep it up and running successfully. However, the night we showed up, the drive in was booked by a private party one first responders and group of military personnel from a few local military so no drive in movie experience for us. An important message from our experience with dealing with Ms. Barnes, she states she pro first responders. Since I'm a first responder to our local VFD, I sure would hate to see how she acts if she wasn't pro first responders. Well, the truth always comes to the surface sooner or later. The owner/operator, Ms. Sherry Barnes, told us the deal for the evening. Fortunately, we had a Plan B for just in case. I do have a very strong suggestion for anyone heading to this drive in , please call them a head of time on the day you plan on going to see if they're open, pre booked by a private party or just closed because of technical reasons. Even tho she charges $10 entree fee even if she charged $20 a head we would have paid it. To us it's more than money, I wanted us to have a drive in experience together Also, I know that the owner, Ms. Sherry Barnes, will be sending a flame response to this review , which will be written by a person with low I Q. Please read her response very carefully, and do you really want to patronize this business? The poor owner can't take any constructive criticism. We...

I call to ask what movie is playing and my call gets "forwarded to voicemail". I think to myself, this must be a wrong number or the theater has a contact number that is not strictly a business number. Either way. It was fine. I didn't leave a message because it wasn't that important. I was thinking of taking my wife and 11 year old daughter to the drive-in if the weather held up. It was cloudy and has been raining on and off for two days. About 30 minutes later I get a call from the same number I dialed and it said Sherry Douglas instead of the theater name. Again, no big deal. She apologized for missing my call and I told her it was no problem I just wanted to know what movie was playing. Sherry told me she was thinking of closing tonight, however asked how many people did I have. I told her it was 3 of us however we weren't 100% positive if we were coming, it depends on the weather. (It was before noon when we were talking so I had no idea what the weather was going to be like 8 or 9 hours later). This must of made her angry for some unknown reason. She went off on a 5 minute story telling me how she built her land to withstand weather and it could be rainy in areas around her land but it wouldn't rain ON her land. (Made no sense to me but I kept listening thinking she was going to get to a point). She then takes a 90 degree turn and starts talking about multiple people wanting to buy her land for millions of dollars. She takes another 90 degree turn on her conversation and starts talking about THOUSANDS of people moving to Whiteville and it's a great place to be. By this time I'm wondering what is wrong with this lady. I stay quiet and listen because I really try not to be rude, but I'm secretly wanting to end the call. She then says that it's not worth making 11 dollars an hour and she is better than that. Then I get a "I'm supposed to open for 3 people who MAY NOT SHOW UP BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER! We're CLOSED". And the call was ended.

Obviously there is something wrong with this lady. She is either having a bad day or she is loosing it. Either way, I wont be using your theater and I'll make sure everyone I know understands how you flip...
