Great fun for my daughter (and me). The price is a little high but that seems to keep the place from being too overwhelmed. There are only about 6 big umbrellas covering areas of chairs, so unless you want to sit/lay in the sun or have your stuff bake while you play you need to get there when they open. The restrooms are clean enough, perhaps could be updated but it is what it is. The slides were all functional, from the toddler slide to the big swirly adult slides. Interestingly they made my daughter take her flotation device (coast guard approved) OFF to use a slide... apparently to protect the surface of the slide. So that was weird, but overall the lifeguards are on point and seem very attentive. Be aware if someone has an 'accident' in the pool they will shut it down for an hour for cleaning. there is also a toddler/kiddie pool area and my 2 year old thought it was great. near that is a sand-play area that can probably hold about 15 kids, with showers to rinse off before going back to the pools. The snack shop was about what you'd expect; burgers, fries, hot dogs, ice cream. They advertise pizzas but didn't have any each time I've been there. While I'm on multiple trips I'll say there was a big difference between trips in clientele. During the 'weekdays after 4pm' discount time you will be crowded and maybe even overwhelmed, but during the weekend at full-price it was very pleasurable. No smoking in the gates but you can walk to the car...
Read moreWe have been here several times and have had great experiences, however, that was not the case today. As regular campers at the facility, this pool is often part of the agenda as it is clean and fun for kids of all ages and a nice break. Within ten minutes of arriving, the main pool was closed for an hour for an undisclosed reason which limited our time to the slides and baby pool area. We realize this is beyond their control as unforeseen circumstances come up, however, one hour turned into two hours. To pass the time, we decided to eat at the snack bar and ordered chicken tenders. After taking a couple bites, we saw that they were completely raw inside. The workers looked shocked when we showed them and agreed to refund us but for only that meal. We had expected our entire order to be comped due to the terrible experience-not itemized. When I spoke to the manager, I was met with a dismissive attitude and told they check the internal temperature of their meats and that it may have been a manufacturer’s issue? Not to mention the fact that they do not allow any outside food. I requested a refund of our entry fee and was told that the best he could do is give us a rain check. This would have been acceptable if it didn’t expire this weekend. This manager didn’t even bother to come out and talk to us rather he talked to us through the sliding window. We’re not convinced that they wouldn’t be able to find another way to remedy...
Read moreGreat water park very family friendly except during closing. God forbid you're trying to keep your family of 4 kids out of the water, trying to dry off and manage the chaos that comes along with trying to calm everyone down before heading into the lockers. It feels like the running of the bulls with the staff doing the chasing and the hollering letting everyone know the “pool deck is closed”. Everyone understands you’ve been in the sun doing Gods work protecting everyone from drowning and we appreciate it, but the life guards are a bit pushy at closing time, placing a lot of pressure on families to gather their things to leave the pool deck. Everyone is trying to leave, and we have no intention of staying as we’ve also had a long day of parenting and monitoring. Please ease up a bit because it’s really unproductive and unprofessional.to scream and holler “we are closed” at toddlers at 6:03PM as they are gathering their things by the chairs. Last but not least, the speed that these lifeguards drive out of the lot is 20+. The lot has no sidewalk, and families are attempting to walk with their kids while vehicles are zooming by 20+. I take someone to task to just stand outside during closing time and to watch that parking lot. It’s...
