The people working inside the building were very nice. As soon ad we walked into the glass doors we were greated by a young pretty secretary at the front desk. As we walked through the second set of doors and actually entered the air conditioned building, a tall security guard was standing up from his table and was already asking me how he could be of assistance. I just needed the bathoom. After guiding me, I was blown away. In all honesty, not even for for it being a rest stop, the mens restroom was big, the stalls were spacious, each had toiet paper and seat covers filled up, but just the design of the building made rhese restrooms immaculate. As I finished up, i couldnt helo but feek like i was either really wealthy in the company of someone who has just finacially slayed the field. It wad big, clean, lights were bright, no graffiti, floor was polished, toilets were clean, urinals were even cleaner, no trash in the recepticles, and the sinks had great pressure and all soaps were filled. Paper towel or air dry options available. On the way out the woman as the desk told us thanks for coming in and to have a great rest of day and the guard had opened both sets of doors for me on the way out also telling me to travel safe and to have a great rest of my...

I stayed there two nights, no Internet, barely any cell phone reception. The wind was horrendous and I donโ€™t know if thatโ€™s common there, but it had to have been 50 miles an hour gusts & it was constant for a day and a half. I almost didnโ€™t leave because I was so afraid to drive my class A 33 foot motorhome in that wind but fortunately it got better as I left that area. I did not use the restrooms or picnic area so cannot comment on them. The price was not bad at $40 a night and I believe I got a senior discount so two nights cost me $76. But I donโ€™t believe that I would ever stop...

A very large reservoir with a beautiful view of mountains behind. Be wary of the strong winds in the region. There is a visitor center here with information on the history of the reservoir, and it also has restrooms for the public to use. The drive around the reservoir is one of the best things to experience on the way from LA to the bay area. Overall I would really recommend making a small halt to experience the breathtaking views this place has to offer.

The reservoir is a nice place to go to get out of the Bay Area and simply be out by a calm body of water. The campsites aren't particularly marked so first come first pick for a spot. Campers are friendly and rangers come through during the day and night for safety. Picnic tables and restrooms are available. Great place for a night or two away from the beaten path.
