Can I just say we cannot wait to return to this state park!!!! I can honestly say that this park we were so impressed with...it is BEAUTIFUL and SO WELL TAKEN CARE OF! You can tell that the employees, park rangers, and camp hosts take pride in their jobs and roles because everything was so well-maintained, the signs were so clear to let us know where to go and how to find things, and we continuously saw park rangers driving around making sure that everyone was safe and respecting the park, wildlife, and rules! My husband and I also realized that the time to come to these state parks is April- the weather is gorgeous, not too hot, and the place is nearly empty! We stayed in Lake Country and there were about 6 other campers/RV's in the whole area for this part of the state park. And- we were all spread out so we had little sections to ourselves.

I have to say I was sad that not everyone follows the rules to clean up after themselves and their pets, but this was mostly prevalent down by the lake where people come for day use/not camping. There was garbage- empty cans and wrappers on the beach area and dog poop not cleaned up by others. However, again, this is where the day use occurs.

For the campsites- the bathrooms and showers were SPOTLESS! I saw employees cleaning these on a daily basis. In addition I am not sure how often the dumpsters are emptied but we were very impressed that the garbage bins and dumpsters were not overflowing.

The dump station is clearly labeled from the road and also very well maintained.

Just so impressed with this state park and can't...

This was the first time I have been on Keystone Lake and in the Keystone Park area and have to tell you but it's a lot of fun they have nice boat ramp launch points placed around the lake and the park beautiful scenery a wonderful day of being outdoors and enjoying the weather! They have amenities for camping they have actually nice areas and bathrooms strategically placed around the park with showers as well I was pretty impressed with all of that it was actually a really nice time I had heard a lot of bad things about Keystone but I actually found it to be better than what I thought it was going to be. The only negative that I found and the main reason they're not getting 5 out of 5 is because I don't think they regulate people dumping they're caught fish carcasses they were all right there dumping fish carcasses by the boat ramp that was a little disgusting trying to get into the water seeing floating fish carcasses while we were trying to get our jet skis launched into the water. I don't know if this is something that happens all the time but it seems as though there was no security or any type of enforcement driving around to make sure things like that weren't taking place. I still highly recommend this Lake and park to anyone looking to get Outdoors enjoy the beautiful weather and just having a great time cooking out and enjoying other things it is a nice little getaway that isn't that far away if you live in...

Super nice place to spend the day, there are RV sites with electric and water hook up’s all over, plenty of places to tent camp you can not drive your vehicle down close to where the tent camping areas are. You have to park up in the parking lot. Was a bummer for me cause I have a pickup bed tent I use. But the place is nice. All the sites are up pretty high on higher ground making water access from the camping sites a bit hard to reach from most of the camping sites. There’s a boat dealership on the campground. Playground. Nice restrooms and hot showers. The dam is very close by just down the road where there is lots of fishing, snagging for spoonbill and access to a riding area for 4 wheelers and side by sides. I highly recommend this place. Also a stocked kid pond for younger children to fish and have easy access to the water. I’m not sure if adults can fish there too with the children. It seemed like it was more a kids only pond but not sure. Boat ramp and even an on site restaurant. The boat dealership also rents out boats rentals. No experience with that but I saw the sign saying boat rentals. Also if you are a veteran. Parking is free for all state parks. This is one of them. Go in the main office during business hours and give them your tag number for up to two vehicles per veteran. And never have to pay for parking. I think you still have to pay to camp but it may be at a...

We stayed in Red Carpet B area. I won't share the spots because we loved them! Barbecue grill, fire pit, and picnic tables on the sites. These sites are primitive and some have water views. Playground and bathrooms/showers are available. Decent bathrooms, but the ladies room ran out of soap half way through day. Most likely because a tour bus was using the pavilion which was still quiet. I would not use the showers, but that's me. Trash cans and water spouts are also around for use. Each campsite has a makeshift trail down the hill to the rocks on the water. BEWARE there is a lot of poison ivy/oak. From this area the swim area is a short drive to Lake Country area for day use. Camping areas must be reserved prior to set up and Park Rangers do enforce this. Stop at office as you must have a parking pass even for swim area. This was a great area that we will definitely use again. The boats on Friday night partied a little late as to noise, at the same time it was great music lol.
