I planned a play date to visit this petting zoo this week. We had a wide range of ages for the children 2 years and up. Overall we all loved the layout of the petting zoo, all the different animals, the staff was super friendly and informative. The only thing to be aware of is the goats share a space with I think emus. When my daughter or any of the kids tried to feed the goats from there feed cups the emus would come over head and start pecking out the food. It was a bit aggressive and scared my daughter causing her to drop her feed cupšŸ˜… I think a lot of people end up not really feeding the goats because the emus made them nervous. Also just watch your young children if they are to feed the zebras or bigger animals, my daughter’s hand got nibbled on by the zebra. She’s ok, just scared her and she didn’t want to feed the animals anymore after that. I saw another review so yes be aware the camel will steal your feed cupšŸ˜‚ Overall a great place to take children! (The photos are before the...

Go here! The animals are well cared for, happy, and very friendly. The staff is very friendly and accommodating; they want to make sure you have a good time! Didn’t have an animal try to bite or nip a single time (although the camel did steal the food cup LOL) I could not possibly speak higher of this place and for such cheap admission! I had a blast and you should too at Mitchell’s Petting Zoo.

For those with mobility problems, the hill here is REALLY steep, but thankfully you don’t have to go up the hill to see the animals. The walk from the parking lot to the barn is short and gravel mixed with concrete. It is level. The barn and around the barn hosts most of the animals within an around 30ft radius. Up the hill turns into unlevel grass and fine gravel which takes you to the cow varieties and the llamas but everything else can be accessed without climbing. There’s also picnic benches nearby at the bottom of the hill next...

Such a lovely little farm with so many precious animals to watch and feed. It was so heartwarming to see these animals, knowing that they are all valued, loved, and well cared for. We visited today with our son and grandson and had such a wonderful time. The staff were so kind, and you can see they are passionate about caring for the animals. What a gift! We will definitely go back. I want to return with a group of friends for my birthday. ā¤ļø Take your friends and family. You'll be so happy you did. Best wishes to the owners, Robert and Kaitlyn Mitchell for continued success always. 😊

Here are some photos. There's a lot more animals, but I admit, I spent more time admiring them than I did taking...
