Nightfall Acres is large enough to be a wonderful family afternoon yet small enough to not be congested and overly crowded. They offer hay rides, children's play yard, maze, you pick floral opportunities and one of the most beautiful sunflower fields I've seen. This is a summer paradise for photographers, especially at sunset. They are located out a bit, but it is an easy and pleasant drive from Knoxville/Sevierville/Oak Ridge. Tickets and packages can be pre-purchase on line or at the gate. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. They have a no pet policy, but are friendly and non challenging with service animals. We had no issue with my daughter's little support dog. We did have her harness on at entry. I came with a disabled family member, and will be focusing on special needs friendliness. Environmentally, as one could expect, it is rough. They have multiple wide handicapp parking spaces up front, which they watch closely and regulate...which is awesome, in my opinion. The parking area is gravel/small landscapers rock. Even for my daughter's power chair, it was extremely difficult to get through and she got stuck several times. THAT BEING SAID the staff at the front entrance area saw us struggling and immediately came out to help. Two male staff members took over and we easily accessed the entrance area without harm to the chair or discomfort to my daughter. The main area is a pasture field, as you would expect for a farm. It is grass covered, but does have some dips, valleys and holes that need to be watched for. Other than that, navigating with her chair into the sun flower field was easily accomplished. We were there for a photo shoot. My daughter can't walk, so Independant standing and walking to various areas within the sunflowers wasn't feasible. Our photographer spoke with the staff, who very willingly came to assist and moved a bench into a little cove of mature sunflowers. It was perfect. They helped get her chair to the bench and offered assistance during her transitions. She had a wonderful time and.smiled more than she has in a long time. It was a fantastic and very successful photoshoot. Things would not have gone so well without the compassion, gentlness and genuine caring and friendliness demonstrated by the staff member who helped us throughout our stay. That young man was a true gentleman...something rarely seen. When our shoot was done and we were ready to leave, we were offered assistance back out to our vehicle. Despite the terraine, this is one of the easiest outings my daughter and I have taken. I would highly recommend Nightfall Acres. It is a wonderfull half day or less family outing for all ages...and if you have a family member in a wheelchair or walker...bring them along. The staff here will have...
Read moreBeautiful! Amazingly sweet family owned place! Not too big but not too small, my husband and I went for our anniversary… We normally take the kids to one of the other ones that are close by as well, but they are too big for me… I would say this one is not really the best one to bring children that are under 16 there’s not a lot to entertain them. We heard a lot of kids that were there say I’m bored… So more for adults or older children… They can appreciate the beauty versus enjoy running around playing… I loved it I think it is wonderful and if you go take the wagon ride, I enjoyed that too. It was beautiful short, but just the right amount of time on it! And beautiful place to take photos weather for your wedding at dance pictures for anything they have little props set up all around the whole property. It just was a beautiful set up during fall. They said that they have a ton more so we are going to have to go check it out, thank you for having this for us to...
Read morePros: Ample parking, the attention to detail is amazing! There is both a haunted mill area as well as a corn trail, so double the value. There are plenty of additional attractions and entertainment, including fire breathers. Another plus, if you want to interact more, there are wristbands that allow you to be more involved. Cons: I wish there were more people inside of the haunted areas. There were missed opportunities to have better scares. We waited in line for quite a while. Lastly, I wish they had put more time between groups. The group behind us caught up pretty quickly. All in all, the value is good, the wait was reasonable, and the entertainment was top-notch. We will definitely be...
