Cohn Arboretum — Attraction in Louisiana

All the plants dead. No workers to be found to pick up trash and manicure but as soon as we want to take a family picture we all of a sudden get ran up on by a staff member and says i have to go cross town to get a permit for 25 dollars to take a picture. This is a free aurbortorium and open to the puplic and nowhere do they say you need a permit for pictures. The spot he directed us to with the "info board" about the situation was completely missing along with all the papers. once again stateting nothing about a fee to take pictures. He can run up on us to to pay 25 dollars but he cant upkeep the park or even keep the plants alive or trash picked up. Terrible experience. Will not ever be back and do not advise this place. It has went...

Really enjoyed this. Short but beautiful trail with the kids. Had a blast and even got rained on. One of the bridges was out so that was a little cumbersome to run with the kids back to the truck when the storm came. But the mosquito population was low, and the flowers and plants where unique and gorgeous. Well...

Nice park, never know when its closed or open. Seems to be closed on weekends now. They say they charge $25 an hr for photography but no one EVER answers their phones or calls back if you leave messages to even schedule something. Then when you go they hound you to book but...yeah...not reliable to photograph...
