On June the 17th, 2013 my fiancé and I decided we wanted to go a water park aquatic center since we had been to the Schlitzerban in Galveston Texas, and Blue Bayou in Baton Rouge Louisiana.
These two water parks have left beautiful, fun, and happy memories that we have shared together. So we decided to stay close to home which is Lake Charles Louisiana and go to the Sulphur Aquatic Center. We packed our towels with anticipating fun at the Sulphur Aquatic Center water park just like we had at the Schlitzerban and Blue Bayou. As we entered as non-sulphur residents, we were charged and fined for being non-sulphur residents. I thought that was a little strange and felt discriminated against and price gouged. This is a discriminating money squeezing scam facility. This states that people from Sulphur who are Americans are better than the rest of us who live in Louisiana, and USA. We walked into the area with the water playground, and automatically a 5 minute break was announced, and you couldn’t hear it because it was announced so loud it hurt our ears, and this immature inhospitable staff shouted at us to get out of the pool.
It’s was break time ,and all the life guards lined up at the juice bar ,and punished everyone to wait 5 minutes until they blew their whistle then we could get back into the pool.
In the supervising of a public facility in which the proprietor makes these kind of rules is of prison/incarceration management. From that moment on the whole experience of the Sulphur water park was that of prison incarceration management. The young immature staff with ego’s bigger than their own presence began to emerge. They have been trained that the residence of Sulphur Louisiana, and non -residence of Sulphur are four legged mentalities in a two legged body suit that need to be controlled in every action while being in the water, and off the water. This is a prison mentality manage facility which does not allow people to think for themselves within the boundaries of the rules. They have been trained to over step the hospitality industry of paying your way to swim for a while. One slide was closed due to pole that was mounted on a cement block fell off, and a sign was posted about that incident. It’s still not fixed, and they still are allowing people to go up the steps because that slide is connected to the rest of the slides being held up. This place is a big liability, and could fall apart any time any day. It is to my shock that Sulphur will endure such a label as no brains they will think for you. It shows to me that the people from Sulphur are willing to endure a prison management just to swim. Trained people count. Hospitality is a memory of sweetness, and kindness. The staff can have the same rules, but in kindness enforce them. Since they know Sulphur residence are four legged mentalities in two legged body suits. The approved conduct is that of drones not humans. The devolution of the mental structure of Sulphur residence to produce a water park run this way is shocking. Schlitzerban and Blue Bayou have one priced scale for all people who visit from all around the world and here in USA. Even for the season passes, they are a set price to use THE WHOLE facility. Plus Blue Bayou even includes their theme park. My experience of Spars Water Park is a discriminating, price gouging monstrosity, prison management of Sulphur residents only. The customers are treated as caged animals, prisoners, drones and used for mistreatment by the staff. It would appear this is a precursor training camp for future young leaders for Nazi type leadership. And if I did not know better, the owner has an ulterior motive, the grand experiment. The MSU students majoring in psychology should take a summer visit to observe at this park and discuss how this place is run! C.F. Volney states, “power back to...
Read moreOkay so let's talk about the MONEY GRAB spar has turned into. So went last year cost was 12.00 per person it literally almost doubled for non-residents 20.00 per person. Okay I was cool with that, but then I saw there was a no re-entry so once your in you cannot go back to your car and eat the snacks you brought in your cooler. No, rather you have to stand in excessively long lines just to get a drink of water and please know it is hot!!! By the time I got to the cashier I felt like I was about to pass out. And when I get there I cannot get a cup off ice water because I have to pay $3.00 for a cup of ice and $3.00 for a bottle of water. I order some hot dogs for the kids and literally had to stack 7 hot dogs on top each other because there were no trays to put the food on so the ketchup and whatever I put on top of the hotdogs were literally at the bottom of the trays on top of them. So this is what I concluded that they do not want non-residents at their park. They can care less about their customers, and after that experience, they never have to worry about me and my family returning to their park, and I am pretty sure I will not be the only one. I will literally find a park that is more accommodating. If you decide to go to spar and it is hot, you will definitely realize the mistake you made walking through...
Read moreI have visited Spar Water Park many times. Be early… There is always a long line if you are not early, especially on the weekends. Oh, the security team check bags at entry for weapons and food. Guests are not allowed to bring any food or drinks inside the pool area. If you want to dine inside the pool area. There are two food huts. Fun fact the food huts serve two menus. The kiddos favorite is the large pizza. If you order a large pizza, it is from little Caesars. If you order by the slice, it is not the little Caesars brand. Every time I enjoy the hotdog over their hamburger. If we get to hot the Italian Ice pops always are refreshing. Some people take an alfresco lunch at their vehicle. You can leave an ice chest in the car for a cheaper alternative under the trees. This location has grown every year I visit. The raft water slides are my favorite. It really is a blast. The kids that are not tall enough to ride have many alternatives. There are many play areas with a water play land kid tiki hut. Free life jackets are available. Everyone in our party enjoys time in the two lazy rivers. You can reserve a cabana to hide from the sun. The staff and lifeguards are the finest and kindhearted people. I cannot wait till the next visit. All I can say is why wait?
I encourage you to look...
