The park where the kids play ball has always been very nice areas. The issue is SAFETY! They have signs up saying "beware of alligators" which are at the walking trail YET there is NOTHING there to protect a resident if one were to appear! And to make matters worse, the grass has grown tremendously in that area which means if a gator is hiding within the grass you would not spot it, atleast not immediately! It would be very nice if a barrier of some sort could be built to at least give a resident a chance to get away if or when ANOTHER alligator appears. A worker for this parish LITERALLY told me himself, as well as a neighbor, that when he pulled up for work behind the gym, there was a gator on the walk-way just waiting. I quit walking there & I went to the battle field because of this. Which is an inconvenience b/c I reside right up the street from this park.) Please consider making this safer I mean atleast cut that grass to make that area more visible! For example, There are parents who are trying to work out with babies in the stroller, imagine if a...

I wanted to share my experience from attending The Young Men of Valor 6th Annual Carnival Ball on the evening of 2/21/2025. Unfortunately, the temperature inside the facility was uncomfortably cold, even colder than the 37-degree temperature outside. Despite wearing our coats, it was still difficult to stay warm.
We asked several members to adjust the temperature, but were told that nothing could be done as the office was closed and no one was available to operate the thermostat. After trying to bear the cold for a while, a few of us, including myself, decided to leave early because it was simply too uncomfortable to stay any longer.
This issue significantly impacted our experience, and I believe it needs to be addressed to prevent future occurrences. It truly detracted from what was otherwise an anticipated event.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to hearing how this situation can...
Read moreOne of my grandsons plays travel ball. They had a tournament at your fields this past weekend. I arrived with my other 4 grandchildren (quadruplets) who are 10 as we have done at many sites to see my grandson play. The lady @ the gate said I had to pay ten $ for everyone one ($50). I asked why because ALL the other fields on both south shore & north shore do not charge for 10 yr olds. She explained that too many kids 16 & above were getting in. That is not my problem, I would expect that the fault lies with the ticket handler. I paid do my 4 grandchild could see their one cousin play (and win the tournament that weekend!). I am very disappointed that your facility would do such a thing. We won’t be returning to your...
