Great museum of very specific parts of our local history. The serious Commerical logging of Acadianan cypress in time of steam, and how all that money made for some of the fastest planes and pilots of 1930s. As a woodworker and lifelong aeronautics nerd, total heaven for me. My bride and my mom BOTH liked it and learned stuff, plan 2-3 hours and it is an eye-opener, much fun.

I had such a wonderful experience at this museum, they have so much to offer visually and it’s an incredible experience to just walk around but on top of that they have a very unique short film about the history of the place that was very cool to experience. Definitely recommend for anyone because it covers a lot of peoples interests.

I cant remember her name but this super nice black lady was the absolute best she told me her name but I can't remember. My family from Thailand came to see us and we had a day here they loved it! The woman even got a wheel chair for her! And the movie was so interesting too definitely do that if you go! Thanks so much lady!

Wedell-Williams Aviation Museum, was on the old highway 182 years ago, then they moved to Kemper Williams Park, which is where the Saw Mill Festival is hosted, the festival is really nice for kids & adults rides for both & great Cajun food & bands play over the period of the festival, if you visit during the festival you can't leave until you visit Wedell-Williams Aviation Museum, it is really cool the history of the old air plains & there hanging from the ceiling & there also on the floor, they have a plack that tells the story behind how it came about & all the historical paths through out the history of Aviation, just go & visit you will not regret it, & God Bless you all Amen...

I visited this place over ten years back. My dad's side of the family worked in the cypress logging industry. It was just plain cool seeing the type of logging equipment used during that era. There are also planes there. Beautiful old planes so well kept I would fly each of them. Great place to visit. I plan on taking my grandson. He loves airplanes like I do, and im sure he will really enjoy...

A really interesting place focused on early lumber industry in the area, which took far too many trees and killed its own industry as well as the forests, and early days of pushing boundaries of speed and gender in flying. Both sides connected because of the one family that got rich and famous doing both. I only would have liked a little more expansive information and more things to read....
