I love this place. It's a great place to escape everyday life. From the museum itself, which is amazing, to the back porch rocking chair sitting, the river veiw, they have pavilions and restrooms that are always clean, beautiful flowers located in the front of the building, walking paths and my personal favorite, a stairway that leads directly to the water. They also have family events such as trunk or treat, pioneers day, and other small community events to encourage the community to visit. It's great watching the sunset while my kids enjoy walking the banks and playing on the sand. During our last trip there, the stairs were completely emerged from all the rainfall. Yet, still very beautiful and peaceful.

There's a lot here. There's a community garden, a picnic shelter a rental hall, an abandoned boat dock, where Spirit of Jefferson was supposed to dock, but rarely did, and walking/bike path on top of the floodwall which connects it to other nearby historic buildings. There's the restored main house, and the separate kitchen building. There's a what I guess is a demonstration "kitchen garden" showcasing heritage plants close to the house. There's a couple of spots where archaeological digs have been going on. And then there's the river view which is pretty nice. It's a nice place to walk around, enjoy nature, and maybe take tour of the house.

Dock was closed, judging by the overgrowth it’s been that way a while. Stairs were seeped in mud, must have been some major flooding. I wouldn’t expect it to open back up. Maybe next year if metro can spare the tax dollars. The rest of this place is fine, under construction and noisy from the tools. Some dinky gardens, although it is the end of the season. Couldn’t find much in the way of trails around the banks. Didn’t take the tour. Generous 3 stars.

I love going here. The caretaker is wonderful. He is always willing to help out if need be. The place is beautiful. He does a great job of taking care of the grounds and buildings.

In the Spring and Summer months, local groups grow vegetable gardens. It's fun to see the different things they choose to plant. Everyone is very respectful of one another's area.

The flower gardens are beautiful when in bloom. The aesetetic lighting really sets them off. It is great to see such a well-kept property.

The outside pavillion has a fireplace. It's great in the cooler months to just hang out around there. There are picnic tables or other arrangements available upon request. My son and his fiance' are thinking about this venue for their reception. It would be beautiful.

The Riverside, Farnsley Moreman Landing is a hot spot for Pokemon-ing. There are a few gyms and several Pokestops. You can spend hours just getting through all of the options. This is my favorite Pokemon location in this part of Louisville.

The only negative comment I have is because of the lack of sufficient handicap parking in regards to the building locations. They need to rethink the parking situation and plan for exceptions if the...

Farnsley-Moreman landing is a great place to go with kids. It is a place we probably never would have discovered if it weren't for the Mayor's cultural pass, and now we have been back just about every year. We all love to tour the house and learn what life was like for the owners and THEIR children. Several times we have been there when the archaeologists were digging and they encourage the kids to dig for artifacts as well. This was a favorite activity for my kids! I enjoy strolling through their gardens and eating lunch at the picnic tables. The view of the river is truly inspiring. I know they have other events here throughout the year and I believe you can have your wedding and/or reception here too. I saw inside the gift shop/visitor's area that they have workshops for people wanting to learn gardening. Check their website...

When I am in the area, I really enjoy coming to visit the park property and the grounds to enjoy seeing the river as well as the natural vistas. While visiting last weekend, a worker briskly walked past my guest and I without even acknowledging or welcoming us. We were reading the historical interpretive signage. I looked over at her to ask a question, but she practically ran over to the house to make sure it was locked up. It didn't even enter in my mind to try to enter the property. As a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation as well as the Bluegrass Trust for Historic Preservation, I have nothing but respect and admiration for historic properties. It was very disheartening to not be welcomed onto the site and be treated with suspicion...
