We went to celebrate my little cousin's 10th birthday & it was nice! The playground had enough to do for all children that can run. I really didn't see things for toddlers to do without assistance but our littlest one was almost 2 & he had a blast with the help of his older cousins! There were grills (I saw 4 where we were), picnic tables & several long tables under the shelter. The river was down below the sitting swings so if you have a boat, take it for a spin. The park was clean & there were many owners with their dogs because of smoke space to run & play. There was also a walking & bike path that plenty of people were using. We made sure we picked up all of our trash so others could enjoy the open space in the park like we did. Unfortunately I'm not sure if there were bathrooms but there is a Circle K is about 3-4 minutes away. Great way to...
Read moreWe most recently went on a night that someone was releasing chinese lanterns into the sky and using fireworks so I may be biased in my opinion .The view of the otherwise putrid Ohio river is gorgeous, and there's a nice river-side forest walking path. Not to mention, 4 different playgrounds(within a condensed zone) and a seasonal sprinkler park. The restrooms aren't too great, but they're no less than normal park quality. There's lots of running space for kites and kiddos,a few gazebos/shade areas, and plenty of swings and picnic tables. There's a well paved road that works as an entrance to louisville bike loop, which goes around the entire city. Including the walking paths and playgrounds, the park itself is fairly small, but makes good use...
Read moreGreat place to visit, you can sit on the bench swings and look out at the Ohio River, take the kids to the play area with swings, slides, giant tic- tac-toe and thry even have a small water park that has water that shoots up from the ground and also sprays down from fun designed poles. There is also a huge covered patio with tables and various picnic tables with grills for fun grilling for get togethers and other events. Lastly lets not forget the Walking path at the top of the hill, which is part of the Louisville loop walking path. Starting at mile 19 of the path. Pics are of the path. The only downside are the rude people that let their dogs poop on the walking path instead of on the grass and then...
