The computers are fast. There are tables available to eat your food/snacks. I was allowed a disinfectant wipe for the computer. Staff is very kind and friendly and respectful. If you're afraid of dogs theres a large one wearing a service animal vest. The owner and employee who it belongs to held the leash the entire time, service dogs don't require to be held the entire time that way. It was a large doberman, but I guess management allows it. The dog was crying a lot, service dogs don't do that .. I couldn't find parking, hope I didn't get a ticket. Several people walked in smelling like straight weed (gross) , teen yt boy was in the bathroom smoking (I smelled it, as I was waiting to use it next and indeed did use it next). One blk older man came in asking over and over is this a safe place. Demanding the library staff call the police for him - who shows up to a library and demand something like this ? They offered him a phone, he said no - he has his own phone. Very odd strange behavior. A lady sat beside me, kept glancing at my computer being nosey (I was just doing homework anyway, but I find it to be rude and oddly nosey). After seeing that she kept on doing it, I finally pulled out my camera and you clearly see on camera. I also recorded the dog crying, and the old man complaining - but don't feel like posting it sorry. In conclusion, I feel extremely sorry for the dog. Sitting in a library all day. Hopefully he walks the poor thing and gives him treats. But unfair for him to get more breaks than other staff for the dog. Would I return, no. Just passing through. Oh, and you can use the computer as a guest. It was convenient but I currently have a headache while typing this from second hand smoke contact. So many people came in drenched in weed smell, it's just nasty rude and inconsiderate. Ugh. (Smokers) Update: on the way out people smoke right in front of the door. There's plenty of space in front, but I guess right in front is best so the job smokers can inhale your cancer. On second thought , I see why the man has a non service, service animal. I'd pretend my dog was a service animal too if I worked here. Unfortunately it seems like pretty ghetto in this area.

A lovely experience in yet another beautifully restored old building. The best part is the gigantic connect 4 game in the kids section!! For personal reasons that was a bittersweet find.

Me and my fiance took an art class here and the library provided all the materials and space. The instruction from John Roach was fantastic, the librarians were all really friendly and helpful, and everyone who attended the class got along great. Unfortunately we had to stop the class because of budget constraints. Our libraries need...

They have an amazing variety of books, I also love how diverse they are as well. It seems pretty clean, there are hand sanitizer dispensaries all around the library, there are beautiful statues/art pieces & it's just an overall good experience. I definitely recommend this library if you live near the Shawnee area or...
