Horseshoe Bend Marina — Attraction in Lovell

We stayed here on June 11th through the 15th. Camp host was the worst I have encountered in all the many years I have been camping. Camp host wouldn’t allow us to choose our campsite which was a walk up site. She was saving all the walk up electric sites for her family and friends which were not showing up till the weekend. She arrived every evening during our meal time to try and tell us that she had gone out of her way to let us have the sites she put us in. Her friends were partying through the night and running their generators till 3:00 am. Come Monday morning the camp host was gone along with her family and friends and we didn’t see her again but I’m sure once the weekend arrived she would once again snatch up all the electric site for her family and friends again. I don’t recommend this site if your looking for sites with hook ups and I would have given it 0 stars if...

Marina/Boat Ramp: When the water is high enough this is the preferred launch to get on to Big Horn Lake and the canyon. You always have people who launch and then hang out in the way at the dock but not marina's fault. Marina has food/drink but no fuel. You can rent boat slips.

Campground: Campspots are nice and have power/water. The reservation system is a joke as there are no refunds and the camp hosts last couple years have played favorites and saved spaces for friends even though policy won't allow anybody else to do that. If you are not there by 6pm they can give your paid spot away which just creates a situation...

Would have given them 5 stars But I will give them 4.5 stars because we had booked the Sunset boat tour and really excited. However they cancelled it that morning and luckily I found out about an hr before we left for Lovell which was a 2 hr drive. They emailed us. They did get us on the 2 PM tour and offered us lunch. It was a rush out but we got there in time. Would have maybe cancelled and rescheduled but our hotel had a 24 hr refund policy. The tour was GREAT!!
