George Poston Park — Attraction in Lowell

I just adopted my dog and came here specifically for the dog park. The facility as a whole is huge and beautifully kept with a nice variety of activities and fields/courts. Now to the dog park...

I love coming here..and I love everything about it but unfortunately it does have it flaws and isn't perfect..most the time the park is empty...but when they have those baseball games, or soccer games the park is all about the game all day long and it isn't peaceful, it's gets more dirty and trashy...the bathrooms don't get cleaned after a ball game..they stay dirty until the cleaning crew comes in the next day and sometimes they just stay dirty . Some of the attractions are cool like the lake or skate park..but that's the only things that cool...most of the park is set up for sports...which not everyone does a sport. Some of the people in the area can be quite rude and disrespectful at times especially during a game..if your trying to enjoy the park...don't go during a game. There is a lot things to do at the park but it needs more than 2 attractions, it pretty much gets boring afterwards and I decide to leave.the park needs updating and more up keep. Maybe a basketball court or pool would be more appreciated, so many ideas to how to keep the...

it's a cool park. i love the trails! some are challenging and some are easy. they could be better marked. I've gotten turned around each time I've walked a new one. there supposed to be emergency markers in case you get lost, but I've yet to see one. trails are pretty worn. there are so many! plenty of free parking. fishing. large fields. safe. track for skateboards and trick bikes. restrooms. clean. fields are always cut. dog park. horseshoe throw. a few covered tables. playgrounds. i recommend visiting.

UPDATE MARCH 23 Foundation Loop is SO TRASHY!!! it hurt my heart 😔. i mean, I was shocked because all the trails thus far have been pretty clean. there's trash, but not in this capacity... tires, plastic and glass bottles, toilet, sink, vacuum cleaner, shoes, toys the oldest tv i have ever seen and other trash I can't begin to explain. it is a nice loop, but it needs some dedicated clean up time!
