Ward Nail Park — Attraction in Lowell

Let me start off by saying that the city this park is in, is the only problem with the park. That being said, I absolutely enjoyed being out there on a beautiful Sunday afternoon (minus a little rain). The pond is pretty cool and as far as I could tell is stocked with catfish. Basketball goals seem to be in good shape, as well as the playground. The paved trail is a nice little walk or bicycle ride around the entire park. I got to watch some kids on the dirt course attempt some jumps, that was entertaining. Bathrooms seemed to be pretty kept up as far as I could tell. All in all I'd definitely have another cookout under one of the few awnings (which are equipped with a grill and tables) scattered throughout the park. Will definitely be back, just watch yourself in Lowell, the police have nothing better to do than to write ridiculous tickets for...

Really awesome splash pad! I got nervous when I first pulled up because I didn't see any water but there was signage that you have to hit a button to activate it for four minutes at a time. I think we were the first ones of the day so it took several tries/minutes for it to get going. I was not prepared: parents, you're going to get soaked, so be sure to wear a swimsuit as well. If you have a little one they'll likely be intimidated by the amount of water on the main structure. There are a lot of picnic tables and some shade sails as well, some fake grass including a small hill, and I appreciate that it is fully fenced in. This park was small the play area is small but it’s a wide park to play soccer and ball sports for sure. It had a dirt bike rail but they brought it down which sucks but I think they gonna built something better because they are bringing a water splay play area which by the way is wayy bigger then the MT Hebron Park splay water area But not a big play area like them.
