One of my favorite local places for a hike. A group of friends and I hike here in all seasons pretty frequently. Beautiful in every season and you see different things every time we come here! Trails are well marked and they do a great job keeping up with the boardwalk repairs. Appreciate the wood chips on the trails and they replenish them frequently. Last there on a cold, weekday morning and didn’t come across any other hikers. We always stop at the wounded animal sanctuary and someone is always there taking care of the injured birds. Added bonus, all 3 of my kids have benefited from their nature camps/programs. If you haven’t been here before, you don’t know what you’re missing!

Pool Farm is Wildland's home base, wildlife sanctuary, and environmental education center. It's hidden away along the Little Lehigh River, a small (except during floods) trout stream that runs to the Lehigh River several miles downstream. Wildlands Conservancy is the regions major land trust and runs an extensive outdoor and indoor environmental education program for schools and the general public. The Bike & Boat program is an award winning program and popular resource for area schools, businesses, and residents of the Lehigh Valley and beyond.

Best to come on a week day before 3pm to really enjoy this area that is rich with nature. Unfortunately all the trail maps were SOAKED! The boardwalk was extremely enjoyable for my grandpa . Very easy trails . All trails go in a loop it and was very clean . They have designated spots to protect the natural trees and plant species but get rid of the invasive ones, they even have bees for honey. This is one of my favorites in Emmaus. Will definitely be back for the other trails .

What an absolutely gorgeous place. I lived and worked near by for years, knew it was there but always passed it by. I came here on a field trip with 79 inner city 3rd graders. They were all apprehensive about this trip. I have never seen such a quick turn around in attitude! They were totally engaged and excited. The staff was friendly, attentive, and patient. They were also wildly helpful when we had a student suffer an allergic reaction. The kids and adults all left exhausted but we all had the best time and they are already asking to come back in 4th grade. I'll definitely be making stops here with my family now that I know what a hidden gem...

This is regarding the Southern California Montane Botanic Garden. I have to say... I am surprised I found a place that does not charge a fee (they do ask for donations. Please, donate!). I come here from time to time, mostly in the spring and summer. It's a nice little place to take a nice breather in nature and the botanical garden at the front. There is also a little pond, and at times see this big cat fish swimming by the deck. On top of that, by the entrance, they have the apple farm, and when you come out of the botanical garden, there is a small building that...
