Love the walk across the Delaware, just a few miles away from where Washington made his own crossing. It is just a neat thing to be crossing into another state. The path is paved and well cared for, with lots of pedestrian and bike traffic next to route one. On the NJ side, you can continue down the toe path where a beautiful canal attracts heron, mallards, eagles, and birds of prey. In the summer, see turtles. On the PA side, you find yourself entering a state park. You can meander on a red gravel path underneath historic bridges or make your way through a neighborhood's proverbial backyard.

It's only half finished yet they are charging full price so I am withholding a higher rating until the project is complete. This bridge was built at the same time 95 south turned into 295 north and all the exit numbers changed. Some say it's a coincidence and the bridge is not to blame. I will wait and see what this monster does and if there are any trolls underneath.

This is such a great addition to connect the D&R & D&L canal paths for cyclists to ride over the bridge (which isn’t allowed on the other river crossing bridges in the area). Wide lanes, gradual incline/declines, and bridge commission right there. Gorgeous viewpoints, too!

I usually avoid this bridge since it now requires a toll. Forgot to exit the highway before it one night and realized it was too late. There are no booths, so if you don't have ez pass you have to pay it online. (They take a photo of the license plate.) The catch is you pay more, and you have to wait at least 30 days until they mail you a receipt with an invoice number just so you can call or go online to pay. Don't wait too long though, because then you get a fine. Have spoken to others who never received an invoice, so I tried to be proactive and call. Good luck with that. One automated customer service number just leads to another, sending you into a circle of frustration dealing with multiple agencies. I have now spent about 6 hours trying to get someone to take my $2.60. What a waste. (Update: was triple charged when I was finally able to pay the lousy toll. Now I'm wasting my time dealing with that. ...

It's hard to avoid the toll as the signs are not clear at night and there are no toll booths for cash. It's "Toll By Plate" where they take a picture of your license plate and mail you a $3 ticket. unless you're driving a car with an EZ PASS electronic tag, you'll be charged half of that, only $1.50. Just make sure the license plate is in your EZ PASS profile. In case you're driving a rental car, add the license plate of the rental car to your profile in order for your tag/account to be charged, otherwise, you'll be charged triple, yes, $1.50 on the EZ PASS tag and $3 on the license plate that will be added to your rental charge plus collecting fees (depending on the rental contract). Make sure to remove the rental car license plate number from your profile, or you'll be charged every time that car passes even if the EZ PASS tag is not in the car and/or you're not driving that rental anymore. Life is so...

New Jersey must be the only state where you have to pay to leave. This includes, but is not limited to: George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, Holland Tunnel, Delaware Water Gap, Benjamin Franklin Bridge, Bayonne Bridge, Betsy Ross & Commodore Barry Bridges, and NOW... Scudder Falls. What, you may ask, are your tolls paying for? Welllll that brand new, fully automated (no toll booths) skyway overlooking 295 that houses executive offices. What came first c̶h̶i̶c̶k̶e̶n̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶e̶g̶g̶ the toll or the bridge? *The only purpose this bridge serves is rerouting traffic to the two toll-free bridges just North of Scudders Falls, whose infrastructure is NOT equipped to handle the volume and weight of vehicles now forced to travel there to avoid...
