Since my son was born I've always brought him there! 6 years minimum I've been going there. But through the decades of course I've stopped there when it was just myself or I wanted to bring a girl for a romantic hang out. But now it's all about my boy and I walk in the rivers edge and finding fun stuff! He loves it there! But do not feed the geese! They will gather 50 plus quick and start surrounding you! My son and I have had to jump in the car a few times because of that. But all in all it's always a fun time there. And the boat ramp goes for about 30 ft and gets deeper. And you can see for a good 10 ft in. I let him go up to his knees and jump around and play and splash when there's nobody else there, using the ramp. It's always very clean, and manicured! They have built-in BBQ pits and picnic tables throughout the park! It's an awesome area for a family get-together kind of group! And plenty of parking! They have a bathroom building but it's been locked for the last few years and they have a huge clean...
Read moreStay away from this place unfortunately the criminal element of the city has infiltrated it. My car was broken into credit cards stolen and used at Saks Fifth Avenue where they welcome them criminals with with open arms to cash in with obviously stolen cards. I will never return to this place. The city of Philadelphia is a complete toilet bowl and the surrounding suburbs are starting to feel the effects of soft politicians that face zero consequences for their actions just like the criminals. I'm sure people will say why would you ever leave valuables in your car think about it you leave valuables in your home when you leave, you leave valuables in your business when you leave but yet when somebody comes in and steals them it's your fault. People should start getting tough on crime because the little crimes turn into big crimes and eventually everyone will...

It's surrounded by trees, of course now being the fall, there are leaves everywhere. The pave trails are covered, if not careful can stumble onto the unpaved grassy mud trails. Very slippery! This entrance has a boat launch and a loading area. The view of the river was calming, added to that colorful foliage from the trees. It was beautiful. There were 2 parking sections, plenty of picnic tables. The restrooms were closed for the season. But located next to the builiding were portapotties. It would have been great to see the Flat Rock Dam. But there was no access from the Park. Another road trip. 🙂 Suspect in the spring or summer would be a better...
