Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg — Attraction in Lower Paxton Township

Seems to be the usual modernist garbage, following the "spirit" of Vatican II rather than traditional Catholicism.

The Indult Mass is a perfect example. For years starting in the 1980s, the diocese would permit only a single Mass per month, in a high school chapel. Despite begging and pleading numerous times for a weekly Mass, the diocese always found an excuse to deny our requests (despite the fact that Quas Primus is still in effect and has never been nullified).

After over a decade of this nonsense, a group finally had enough and decided that if the diocese wouldn't give us a weekly Mass (an honestly Catholic Mass rather than that garbage that passes for the Novus Ordo), then we'd do it ourselves. After buying a building with our own funds and converting it into a truly Catholic chapel ourselves and finding priests willing to come (including a canon lawyer from the Archdiocese of Baltimore), the diocese finally had a change of heart, through pure "coincidence", I'm sure). Miracle of miracles, not only did they suddenly discover that there was a need for a weekly Indult Mass but they also brought in the FSSP and handed over a very nice church entirely...

I am writing on behalf of our son who recently transferred out of LCHS due to significant racial profiling and discrimination by some of his peers and teaching staff. As a family we are completely disheartened and disgusted by the lack of support and negligence the administration and head of schools, Daniel Breen conducted. They were never equipped nor cared about our son’s overall well being to make him feel heard and equally accepted!! There focus was to sweep everything under the rug because of who the students were and how there families continue to financially help support there school. I have been a Christian all my life and continue to instill and conduct what gods true word is within our family. What our son experienced is something I pray no other student should have to experience or feel their voice does not matter. Because I assure you it does and this unjust behavior should not be tolerated and NEEDS TO CHANGE!! THIS SCHOOL DOES NOT MODEL OR STAND TRUE TO GODS WORD AND THERE CORE VALUES! I have been a Catholic Charities employee twice and a volunteer in between, working with refugees and immigrants. In my second role, I drove around to students’ homes and gave individualized ESL lessons. In October at my exit interview, I submitted my last two mileage expense reports as well as one for April that had been “lost” more than once. These were also “lost,” so I resubmitted them in November, and in December they still hadn’t been paid so I inquired again, only to be informed that “they were filled out incorrectly and from last fiscal year,” so they would NOT be paid.
