Garrett Family Preserve at Cape Island Creek — Attraction in Lower Township

Great place to just walk around and enjoy the huge amount of wildflowers and birds and just great scenery. It's flat and easy to walk. Official parking area plenty of interpretive signage trails easy to walk hard to get lost bird blind overlooking the marsh and some art easels if you want to paint to name just a few things. 88 parking but the trail system is not ADA yet. No road sign advertising the preserve on Route 626 that I saw — turn on Wilson street and there’s a parking lot at the end of the short street.

Signage for the trails is okay but could use improvement. I got off track taking the “perimeter” trail a few times. I recommend taking a picture of the map (or I attached mine) at the entrance for reference and also using Google/Apple maps, if necessary, to help.

Had a lovely experience at the preserve. Got a very informative tour from Land steward Lily. The paths are very well kept and they have these industrial art easles for anyone to capture the surrounding nature. There is a port-a-potty on site.
