Lower Humbert is a classic covered bridge in a beautiful setting crossing Laurel Hill Creek. It was built in 1891 and extensively remodeled by the County in 1991. It's in a locale where the stream is next to the road. During any season, the tranquil setting allows the visitor a chance to walk/drive across the 126.5-foot span, then stop wander up or down the edge of Laurel Hill Creek and enjoy the outside views of the structure.
Lower Humbert Bridge is the southernmost covered bridge in Somerset County. For a map and description of others, search for and download "Exploring the Covered Bridges of Somerset County"
