Stackhouse Park is a really charming place. The ranger is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and takes great care in maintaining the land. At the Luzerne St. entrance there is a small playground for children. From there you can hike on their many trails. The park has trails of varying difficulty and is fun for all ages. At Easter they host a great egg hunt for children. They also host an art festival every year and special events related to nature/science. Stackhouse Park has partnered with the local library to create a Story Walk, which is a small trail that features a children's story which rotates each month. The pavilions can be reserved for special events,...

Spoils us having such a nice park within walking distance of our house. There are a lot of trails to explore here if you're willing to get off the main, gravel path that runs the length of the park. Some are marked better than others, some barely marked at all, and every once in a while fallen trees block them entirely. Great place to take the kids/dogs. My one complaint is that, being surrounded by houses with multiple access points, you do get a lot of casuals who litter, break glass, and otherwise make a mess of things. Still one of my favorite places to go...

A nice secluded Park where there isn't very many people. A good place to walk your dogs. The trails are a little more challenging for the elderly. Just some steeper grades and some narrow paths. The handicap entrance is behind the police station in the area. I feel that it wasn't Mark very well on Google Maps or by any signs. Had to ask a local that lived beside the park. It is a beautiful Park. It is tucked away and I have lived in the area since I've been born and didn't even know the park was there until I found it on Google Maps...

A little part of paradise off the beaten path. So peaceful and beautiful. Quiet and tranquil. Different trails to explore. Trails are well marked and defined. Places to stop and watch nature along the trails. Though there are multiple people on the trail you would not know it. Sit and watch the water flow on by. Take a moment and enjoy what is around you. The trails are manageable for any skill level. You can bring a friend to watch the with or your fur baby is welcome as well. Enjoy the day with a small walk in the middle of the "city".

Really neat little park and waaaaaay more than I expected! There's a beautiful stream, tons to look at, several trails, picnic areas... You can veer from the paths and look at the area without a fear of getting lost. Some paths are gravel and some are just ...paths. We made our hike into 4 miles and stretched that to about 2 hours because we got sidetracked a few times looking at different things in the forest. I'd advise wearing comfy shoes and bringing a water bottle. There's picnic areas and trash cans throughout but no fountains.
