Stackhouse Park is a really charming place. The ranger is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and takes great care in maintaining the land. At the Luzerne St. entrance there is a small playground for children. From there you can hike on their many trails. The park has trails of varying difficulty and is fun for all ages. At Easter they host a great egg hunt for children. They also host an art festival every year and special events related to nature/science. Read moreSpoils us having such a nice park within walking distance of our house. There are a lot of trails to explore here if you're willing to get off the main, gravel path that runs the length of the park. Some are marked better than others, some barely marked at all, and every once in a while fallen trees block them entirely. Great place to take the kids/dogs. My one complaint is that, being surrounded by houses with multiple access points, you do get a lot of casuals who litter, break glass, and otherwise make a mess of things. Read moreA nice secluded Park where there isn't very many people. A good place to walk your dogs. The trails are a little more challenging for the elderly. Just some steeper grades and some narrow paths. The handicap entrance is behind the police station in the area. I feel that it wasn't Mark very well on Google Maps or by any signs. Had to ask a local that lived beside the park. It is a beautiful Park. It is tucked away and I have lived in the area since I've been born and didn't even know the park was there until I found it on Google Maps...
