Beautiful property. Well run event. Lots of fresh air & open space. And No mosquitos!
His & hers porta potties with a hand sanitizer station replaces indoor plumbing. It's a farm.
Wear shoes expecting you'll be standing or walking for a couple hours, in the dirt. It's a farm.
Seating isn't available during cocktail hour. Limited, during appetizer offering & is only sit down at family style dinner which, is a couple hours into the event.
Learn from my mistake & eat before you go. I thought at about $200@ person, it would be an endless offering of food & drink. It's more a sampling of food & abundance of drink.
There is an endless "sampling" of snacks. You can really only have one tiny treat as you walk thru the appetizer line, to be handed an offering. The local chefs really excelled here, its a shame quantity was limited.
The drinks are endless which is great. Found a new favorite prosecco, Luna Nuda & wish I had the recipe for the Vodka Ginger concoction. So good.
The sit down dinner was family style so, unless you come in a group of 6, you're sharing each course which arrives in a bowl, with strangers.
Enough food arrives to feed 6ppl a modest serving. You won't get another helping if you like something like the tahini zucchini pasta. And if raw turnips or dry fish isn't your thing~ you're out of luck, you just skip that course. Also, no salt & pepper avail.
There's alot of staff to ensure everything runs in a timely manner but a blank stare occurs on their face if you ask for seasoning or seconds. The response is they'll look into it & you never see them again.
There's enough libations to ensure these normally thumbs down incidents, smoothly pass by until you realize you have a virtually empty stomach & have sampled Swanks Carrot ginger vodka cocktail , Luna Nuda's Prosecco & tasty Red wine, in addition to Accomplice Brewery's perfectly smooth & rich ales.
Again, eat before you go unless you have an amazing alcohol tolerance or don't drink and, maybe pop a couple Excedrin.
The atmosphere is wonderful for dinner & will sweep you away. Giant open air barn with a live band playing in the rafters. Below the band, on decks, are the chefs preparing food before your eyes.
Long, heavy wooden tables spanning about half the length of a football field to sit and take it all in.
We went in March. It was cool & comfortable and by the time we sat, it was sunset so a glow encapsulated the barn to set a romantic & easy going atmosphere.
We would definitely do it again as a special occasion, would just eat first to balance...
Read moreDo NOT follow google maps onto "E", use "D". E is a dirt road that has had ridges scraped into the road to cause serious vibrations at even the slowest speed that make your vehicle rattle apart for a couple of miles. D is paved. Farmers Market had about 25+- vendors. There is a Wagyu beef (Australian and Japanese) there, a couple of fruit-veggie stands, and others. Interesting items that I haven't seen around much, like Mexican spiced chocolate chip cookies or golden cream latte-milk mix (turmeric blend). then some regular type items like local honey, coffee, tea, small plants, etc...oh, those bees were actually there, in a glass hive, making the honey. I don't know how much one would pay for a table there, but there was a decent attendance as early as 10:20AM. We ended out there because they do social media ads, so that may benefit someone who wanted to sell there. 2 food trucks were there, one ice cream, one Latin. According to the ice cream menu it was available in pints or half pints...so we stepped away from the short line because we thought it was a cone or scoop...
Read moreThe farmers market they have every Saturday from 10-1 through the months of october-may(ish) (Rain or shine / Freezing or boiling ) is absolutely awesome! One of our favorite markets to go to as a vendor or a customer. We sometimes go to sell our beef there and it's always a pleasure getting out and meeting new people.. But we also shop around while there and all the vendors are awesome and you never know what you'll come across. Also, please may I ask, if you do go you gotta stop by the produce tables and tell the owner, Ms Jodi, hello and that Nicole from Trinity Ranch sent ya! She's an amazing lady and is super kind to put these farmers markets on at her farm allowing other local businesses to come together and sell their products to the community. She also puts on many other events throughout the year so check out her website to see what all they do!! Don't forget to Shop Local and Buy Local!! We greatly appreciate you supporting your local ranchers and farmers and small businesses...
