This may be the most extraordinary place on the east coast south of Cape Breton. Hard to find such a beautiful place kept in such a pristine state. The ones responsible for its upkeep really do an incredible job. The walkways and trails are in perfect condition.

Most importantly, the views of the coastline seen in this area appear to belong on the Pacific Ocean rather than Maine. It’s about as rugged as a coast can get and even puts Acadia to shame. To be honest, this preserve as a whole puts the rest of the Maine...

Second time visiting. Last year it was foggy, this time, bright and sunny. Gorgeous place with lots of ocean views and cobble beach access. Well maintained as are all MCHT properties. Trails are clearly marked and afford lots of visual interest along the way. At certain times during the tide cycle, the waves make an amazing sound at one ocean vantage point where a bench has...

Mild/moderate hike through several types of terrain with many birds and the most amazing breathtaking view I've ever seen. Pocket beaches that roar with the waves making football size boulders roll back and forth in rich colored waters. Grand Manan isle can be seen on clear days, occasional whales, seals, eagles and osprey.

This trail is a pretty easy hike that offers beautiful views of the jagged coastline. The woods are super peaceful, especially in the winter when hardly anyone uses the trail. Be on the look out for spruce grouse
