Located in a hanger to the left of the SJ Regional Airport entrance at the Air Victory Museum entrance we were greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable volunteer when we arrived. There was so much more history and memorabilia than when I had been there 15 years earlier. Our 8 year old was kept occupied and interested for over an hour which was amazing considering he generally has a short attention span. They have some items out that kids can feel and touch. The big hit was the fighter jet cockpit you can sit in. Great for plane enthusiasts. It was a chilly day and the hanger wasn't heated, but we were so interested in everything we hardly noticed. There is a conference room/library section that is heated where you can peruse thousands of military and aviation history books if you need to warm up. They also have a small number of items and toys on sale in a little gift shop. The volunteers are friendly and love to chat, but it's also great to get to know the other visiting Veterans and their stories as well. When you are finished you can take a walk over to the restaurant in the main airport building. You can dine inside or outside. There are also a few spots to park and watch planes take off and land and the helicopters come and go. A great hidden local gem.

The museum is nearly all handicap accessible with large, wide walkways, but they do have a few displays with stairs to climb up and see inside a few static displays for the able bodied. I believe the restroom is located inside the main airport building and not inside the hanger. Something to keep in mind during your visit.

Overall we highly recommend visiting the Air Victory...

First the call: we called to get pricing and the gentleman on the phone was one of the nicest people I spoke to in a long time 5 stars on the phone call. The arrival and admissions: Getting in and paying was easy peasy bo line bo waiting no big crowd. We where allowed to tour ourselves we kept our masks on. We arrived with 3 of us my husband, my 5 year old son and Myself. The price was so affordable. The inside was so clean we want back to the admission window and was asking questions. Bill came out with us and and taught us so many very interesting facts. The museum can be walked through with out ready every thingg in about 20 mins but if you read everything you will get a good hour. Ee stayed for about 2 hours. My 5 year old even got to go in 3 of the air planes. After we toured we went back to admission window because we ask Bill still with us answering all of our questions if they had a gift shop. They didn't have a separate gift shop but they had a little space where you can purchase models and books. Bill also got our little guy a gift bag filled with all kinds of nice gifts. We purchased 3 models. We had such an amazing time and rate this total experience a 10 stars. We will...

A great little museum right in your backyard!! Its inexpensive and has a very interesting and eclectic collection which will having you coming back to see things you missed before. Plus enthusiastic volunteers who light up when you ask questions make it win-win. Even better to get in the mood is to stop for breakfast or lunch at the Runway Cafe before you go. It shares the same parking lot as the museum and has a view of the end of South Jersey Regional Airport's runway. Its a small place with great homemade food and friendly service. If you're looking to get out of the house, not spend a lot of money, and have an interesting time, go for it!

Bring a few extra $$$ or change for the restoration donation buckets that are in front of some of the aircraft inside! Every bit helps and its great to see the progress they've made since I first visited close to 15 years ago....

My son was playing in a baseball tournament nearby and we decided to check it out. We arrived to a Closed sign and a note posted on the door to call Bill if we wanted to visit. Bill very kindly drove 30 minutes (on a Sunday) to let us in and then guided us around, pointing out various aspects of the static display aircraft, engines, equipment, and models. Bill also shared his experience in the Air Force - including one time when his cargo plane was escorted by fully armed F-14 Tomcats! I’ve always told my kids to engage volunteers at museums like this, it’s so rewarding. There is a lot to see here and the staff is amazing. We’ll be back!

Very interesting museum with plenty to see! Upon entry we were met by John, a volunteer for the museum. John gave us an in depth tour of the museum. He is very knowledgeable, and we learned much more than if we had done a self guided tour. His tour lasted about 2 hours. We were able to sit in a cockpit as well which was very fun! He also mentioned they are working ln raising funding to build a “women in aviation” portion of the museum, which I would happily return to see. Highly recommend to anyone interested in US history, the military, aviation, and wartime history.
