Bruno & George Winery — Attraction in Lumberton

I cannot say enough great things about Bruno & George Winery. We had a small wedding and a few family remained for the weekend. I live close by so called to leave a voicemail at the winery on a Sunday trying to schedule a tasting & tour. I was amazed when Shawn called me back pretty quickly and explained that they typically only did tastings & tours on the weekend. When Shawn offered to be there Monday to accommodate my family (who had come from 3 different states), I was so thankful. The tastings are amazing! The fruit wine is out of this world good. Typically fruit wines are not my favorite being way too sweet and rarely tasting like they smell. These were genuine, great tasting and did actually taste like the individual berries and fruits. Meeting Shawn was like adding to the family, we talked, did the tastings, thoroughly enjoyed the tour and will definitely be back. Spent an afternoon with my wife doing a wine tasting with Bruno and I have to admit that the berry wines are phenomenal. Most berry wines are just grape wines with a berry essence and therefore always taste either too sugary or like cheap perfume. His wines are pure berry wines. They have full, authentic, and smooth flavors. My personal favorites were the Cranberry, Blackberry, and Red Wine Blend. Honestly though I would recommended any of them and apparently they are known for the Raisin wine which almost has a cognac sipping quality (which I love too).
