I purchased a variety of produce from this place at a farmer's market and every single item was inedible. The peppers and tomatoes were rotten when I went to cook them the next morning. The cucumber was rotten within a day. The only items I got to actually try were an onion and two types of watermelon. The onion was very tough even after cooking. I've never seen an onion with that texture before, it may not have been ripe. Both watermelons were not ripe, totally inedible. Staff was also very rude. I will never go to that farmer's market again and if I see Dick's at another, I'll avoid their stall...
Read moreIf you haven't experienced Dick's Market, you are missing out. They are located at the Melrose Farmer's Market every Thursday starting at 1pm. My favorite apple is Jonathan apples. They are great for baking and the flavor is sweet and tart. I also enjoy their sweet potatoes and corn.
The sweet potatoes are delicious. They have a soft texture and melt in your mouth. The corn is also sweet and their prices are excellent. Their staff are always helpful. I will continue to buy produce until the Farmer's market ends in November.
